I am old school and went to UGA. I enjoy seeing Tech fail in anything. Their smugness will always allow me to have this disdain. I am not obsessed, but I certainly like to lol at Tech's expense. Spin it how you want, but it was the racism of your most celebrated coach that started Tech down the path it is on. Since then, they have gone down various paths of soulselling whilst attempting to portray the image of academic superiority. Right now, they are in the saddest of states as they are cutting their standards more than UGA to allow players to get into the school, but they wont cut them quite enough to be able to recruit the entire group NCAA recruitable players. They either need to join the Ivy League or they need to admit to themselves that putting the tip in is worse than going ahead and going balls deep....and frick Tech...

beating the ACC Champions is more impressive than beating a 7-5 or a 6-6 or a 8-4 team
GA Tech is consistent - they are almost always good for 7 wins
now that SOS matters, having Tech be an upper tier ACC team would help us

Tech sucking helps us even more as we do not have to compete against them for top in-state talent. We have enough problems with our SEC brethren raiding the state. The last thing we need is a strong tech football program competing with us for Georgia high school recruits.
The more tech sucks, the better it is for UGA.

FWIW - if Tech could statr getting top notch talent out of GA, it would hurt Auburn, Bama, SC, Tenn & FSU MUCH more than it would hurt us.
It would HELP us in the SEC

Nah. A strong tech does nothing for us. We would still have to play SEC level talent while they feast on the Wake Forests of the world.
