I really do feel sorry for Ole Miss. If our frightening, PC obsessed, mob mentality society was forcing us to change our name from the Texas A&M Aggies to the Texas State (imagine there's not already one - most of the A&M's became "X State") Armadillos it would crush my soul.
It pisses me off that it's happening to ANYONE, Ole Miss themselves aside.
I feel like this isn't even America anymore. I weep for future generations.

Meh, it's high time they got away from that unfortunate legacy, IMO. Yeah it sucks for them because of the longevity of the name, but the sad thing is that the moniker stuck around that long to begin with.

I want to move somewhere that's not PC, but can't think of anywhere on earth that isn't anymore. Maybe Africa where they have bigger problems. But then there's Ebola, so never mind. Maybe when we start colonizing Mars all the non-PC people will move there to live in freedom.
Just yesterday some school kid got suspended for saying "God bless you" to someone who sneezed. Because the word "God" isn't allowed in school. I don't even believe in God and that pisses me off.
The school is called Ole Miss. We say "God bless you" when someone sneezes. People need yo leave other people the frick alone.

I disagree, but I also view shite like this on a case-by-case basis. Some shite needs to be let go, others needs to be left alone.
Jmho, though. As far as this goes, I'm glad TAMU doesn't have such a stigma attached to it.

La Tech fans were pretty sensitive at the game about having let their live mascot bulldog die from lack of water over the prior summer.. Especially sensitive when comments were made every time the bulldog howl was piped in over the PA every so often: "Water your damn dog!"
