Thank you. I live in auburn, it blows. Only thing magical about it is how sorry the cops are here.
Obviously most if you know nothing about the city of Auburn other than visits. The people who live here are super pretentious.
Do what? You have made some harsh remarks about the city in previous threads and I am curious why you are still here if you feel that way? 99.9% of the people I know and associate with love Auburn and enjoy the benefits of living here. Exactly what do you not like about it and where do you think would be a better place to live?

This guy just lives to troll. Half the shite he says is bullshite. I wouldn't worry about it.

I will agree with you that Auburn cops are the worst. But I never got a pretentious vibe from the community.

Just moved here Thursday. I am enjoying it thus far, of course not how I would have 5-6 years ago. It is OK though, at 28 my grades will be better. With the wife here I won't be preoccupied chasing sloots around.

I'M here because of my job. and my so's job.
Auburn is boring for those over 26. Nothing to do. The city is insufferable on gamedays.
And the people i deal with are pretentious. What happened in the administration at AHS after Rainman Rainer left was a farce. The local politics here are also.
And the racism that is unspoken here.
I want to move to the pacific northwest.

Yep.
He says he's a teacher, but he misspells a good 10% of his words.
Well... these days, I guess that's a real possibility. But somehow in this case I doubt it.

You sound miserable in just about every post. Do you act this way in your "real life"?

Most small towns suck if you're a single professional.... and have shitty politics and are cliquish with stuck up people... auburn, al isn't special In this regard....

If he's trying to get away from pretentious people, the pacific NW is probably a bad idea...

Grew up in Auburn and went to AU. Most of what you said is untrue.
The problem with the city of Auburn is failure to retain the older historical homes. Auburn has very little identity outside of the University.
Oh, and Tom Haley needs to find a slow boat to China.

Amen.
Older homes stand in the way of the new chain restaurants and drug stores. They got to go.
Agree to disagree on the rest.

I am part of a supply chain advisory council in the school of business and speak to senior level undergraduate classes once a semester or so. I really value this time back on campus to reconnect with what being a student is like now vs the dark ages when i was there. Most of the students are the age of my kids, so in many cases, the talk I give is oriented toward what i learned from my own kids, their needs, and their questions.
its not much, but to the extent I can give back to Auburn, I appreciate the opportunity.

Hey I'm a senior in supply chain now every time someone comes into my class to speak I'm going to wonder if it's you.
