I think Pruitt is a snake oil salesman.
Any improvement on UGA's defense this year will be because we return 6/7ths of the Front 7, and Tracy Rocker being a damn find assistant coach.
No matter who the coach was for UGA defense this year, it was going to be better than last year from just experience alone. 2013 was a defense with 8 new starters. Bound to suck, and it did.
2014 only has 4 new starters, probably won't suck as bad.

I think Georgia goes 9 - 3 this year with one of those losses being to Florida.
Despite all of our offensive weapons we still (in my opinion) have a big question mark at QB in Mason.

Mason isn't Murray, but I dont' see why he's looked at as such a question mark. We know what we're getting with Hutson, and he's not going to be called on to win games for us by himself like Murray had to do sometimes.
Just because he hasn't started for 30 games doesn't mean he's necessarily a question mark. Now the secondary...that is a question mark because we honestly have no clue what to expect. We know what to expect at QB.

Murray was notorious for shitting the bed and losing games for us, not winning them for us.
It wasn't until his 4th fricking year as a starter he finally won the "big game" against LSU.
What other "big game" or "any game" did we "rely on Murray to win" for us?

Deep breaths rig, deep breaths.
Notice the phrase "called on", I never said Murray was some DG like person engineering us to wins left and right. I said he was "called on" to make plays happen. His first 3 years he largely failed at that, last year he did well.
But fact is that in 2010 we had a shaky running game and not very good defense. In 2011 we had an inconsistent run game and an unproven WR corps. In 2012 we were stacked. Last year we played half the year with backups at RB, walkons at WR, and the worst defense we've ever had. That forces the QB to have to make plays.
Mason will have a stout running game, a proven WR group, and an improved defense. He just needs to not frick up, he doesn't have to throw for 400 yards and win games himself. Get it now?

I find it ironic that because Im being realistic I'm somehow not a fan? And I honestly don't care who thinks what.
I had to wait all weekend for my account to approved.
Hutson has started 2 games. He's had both good and bad performances. I was there for the "meh" bowl performance. Having all the offensive weapons around him should help lessen any sort of burden he bares.
But do I feel confident having him go against stealler defenses? No.

I agree. After an off-season of Florida getting picked as the most popular Darkhorse contender for the east I just have to ask why you would even think they'll have a winning record let alone challenge for the East considering that nothing's changed but a generic OC and Mustchamp lost control of the team last year.

Most UF fans I have seen on message boards are taking the wait and see approach. Don't see many pounding their chest in regards to the offense.

See this is actually my issue: a lot of LSU fans have chalked up the game in the Swamp as a loss even though we're facing a team that was 4-8 last year. Most Florida fans likely wouldn't even mind conceding a loss in that game considering they can still have a successful season otherwise, yet some people are still scared of going to the Swamp even though Georgia Southern won there last year.

LSU/UF has been a competitive game the majority of the time over the past decade.
I expect it to be close this year as well. No, UF fans shouldn't chalk it up as an auto loss. This game is a toss up.
