Cameron the Terrible came in a few years ago. I blame the Welsh for what happened - no one in the UK could understand what they were saying and unfortunately the Northern Irish had convinced everyone that it was time the Welsh got a chance to be in charge of monitoring the English and warning everyone else should the English decide to invade. Cornwall is none to pleased - they still think they should've been put in charge.
The Scots are threatening to secede. It's a bloody mess.

The problem with Scotland, is that it's full of Scots.

Any man who could crush my head with their hand while wearing a skirt gets my vote.

Well I just wanted to make clear up that I was living over in the states.
Scotland seceding will be terrible for them, predominantly because Salmon thinks he can use the £ even though the bank of England have said no, the EU doesnt need another dead country using the Euro, so their best bet is to use the £ without the BoE backing meaning austerity for years to build reserves and having no control ala Zimbabwe or Panama with the $

Pretty sure we're all just having fun engvol. Though I'm not sure how many of my fellow Americans are aware of that whole 4 countries in a country thing you've got going on over there. You couldn't have something as easy as states or provinces but had to overcomplicated it all.
As to the secession... it's looking more and more likely that the vote will fail. From what I've heard from Scots, they see the party pushing this as a one trick pony as really independence is all they're about. The question is will the failure to win this vote be the end of the move for independence for a few decades, a generation, or will it pop back up again. I kinda think a failure now puts it off for at least another decade and likely a lot longer and by that time a lot will have changed.
The Scots though CAN get away with using the pound if they wish. Several countries use the dollar without our permission and there's not much that can be done about it. What will hurt Scotland is if the BoE refuses to lend to Scottish banks at zero interest (which appears to be the big threat) but they really can't stop the flow of currency if a nation is determined.
At any rate, if nothing changes I just don't see the independence movement getting that final 2 percent of voters they need right now.
