It doesn't look like Robinson was gonna start but losing Siddoway to graduation then his RS Senior backup hurts cause now you're gonna start a player at RT with zero SEC starts out on the edge... I'm sure Damien will get a 6th year of eligibility so it does help with depth next season after Clausell graduates.

IIRC Justin Senior, who was going to be the starter anyway, started 1 or 2 games last year in place of Clausell or Siddoway when they were injured?

He is eligible for the 6th year but isn't going to apply for it. He's pretty much done.

I personally would be more concerned with our RT position with DR starting than starting a younger guy with ZERO SEC experience. DR provided a safety net as a backup as another big body that could give someone else a breather but fast SEC DEs are just too quick for him to deal with for the most part.

Senior has an SEC start and played a bunch of meaningful snaps last year, which technically gives him more starting experience than Damian had. Honestly, he probably has 60% as much overall playing experience as Damian -- and hadn't been posterized into our memory in the same way Damian was a few times.

Not to take away from Damian as a person -- and I'm not trying to cut him down in any way -- I'm just posting what I honestly think about the OL and what I thought long before Damian actually got hurt. If he was going to see a bunch of meaningful snaps at RT, I was going to mini melt on the front end and make him prove to me something had changed with him for the better, while smh at Mullen/Hevesy giving us the TR/Perkins treatment with square pegs in round holes...

I remember when I stated earlier this offseason that Rufus Warren would get some good PT and someone called me extremely stupid and I should no longer be a fan of Mississippi State football. To the arse clown (whomever you may be)..............

Define good PT.

I don't know who you're talking about but they may still be correct...

I think he'll play in at least half our games.

That seems a bit high. I wouldn't say it's out of the realm of possibility for him to play mop up duty in a few games but other than that I just don't see it.

I'm also guessing whoever said that said it before Robinson got hurt and if he wouldn't have Warren wouldn't come close to seeing the field this year.

He played in 11 games last season... He'll probably end up being a stud just like Siddoway.

1still>0 that Robinson had.

It'll be 4 starts before we are tested. Senior is pretty damn battle-tested at this point.

Besides -- do you really think anyone is dumb enough to actually pin their ears back and come after Dak? I really, really hope they are.

I think he was on your FG and punt teams as well... Like engie said, Rufus Warren probably isn't the answer at RT... Justin Senior is.. Rufus can back him up.

If I ever start learning the backup OT for other teams in the SEC, please shoot me in the dick.

I can name a lot of backup OTs in the SECw... We recruited several of them but unfortunately OM lost those battles... Not Elgton Jenkins , Ronald Cochran or Deion Calhoun though... Only Mullen and Hevesy go diamond mining at depths that extreme.
