That's like saying LSU gets a kid out of Oklahoma therefore they stole someone from TAMUs main recruiting region since if a kid is close enough to come to LSU he is close enough to go to TAMU. It just doesn't add up, you are comparing apples to oranges. Get a kid from Houston or east texas or B/CS then you have ammunition. Dallas is and always will be Big 12 territory first.
Dude, the entire State of Texas was Big 12 country just 2 years ago. LSU has always had success going into the Houston area to find recruits. 2 were 1st round picks: Joseph Addai and Michael Brockers.

The recruiting coordinator at West Mesquite is Kyle Ward. He was a GA at A&M in 2013 but left with Marcel Yates to Boise State. He left on very bad terms with Sumlin as he was instrumental to getting a recruit to follow him to Boise. Apparently Boise only used him to get the recruit and let him go this spring. He landed at West Mesquite and it looks like there's no way in hell any West Mesquite players will be going to A&M as long as Ward is there.

To make the assumption A&M wouldn't offer a top WR prospect (potential 5 star) from the state of Texas is laughable. Maybe he hasn't been offered yet, but he's been on the A&M radar. It's oulandish to not acknowledge the kid as an A&M recuit.

If you're going to go there, for clarity, Sumlin fired him with cause 6 months into a GA job (they normally are 2 year gigs)

Well, there you go. He won't be doing A&M any favors in his current position, that's for sure.

I lived in Ft. Worth in 2006ish and I can tell you TAMU fans are few and far between up there. Its UT,OU,TCU,SMU, Baylor, Ok ST, then maybe TAMU. You just didn't see that much TAMU gear ever. While in The Woodlands/Houston where my parents lived through the good years and the bad years that TAMU gear flew proudly.

But im sorry I was just trying to inject some knowledge into this thread didn't mean to mess up your troll party.

It's a good pickup, and yes we were recruiting him but as of now, I'm not sure he was on our top 3 at the position, recruiting-wise. He probably would have been offered eventually but some kids know what they want when they want it. *shrug* So congrats on the commit, but raiding this state for talent is like taking a quarter out of a barrel full of quarters. But hope it all works out for y'all.

You do realize that was right after Texas won the NC and A&M was still in the middle of the Frantastic era. It was tough sledding to be an Aggie fan back then as we were taking suckage to a level not seen since the '60s for us.

Nice get for LSU, no question. It is legit to say A&M hasn't offered though and that matters. If A&M got a stud DB commit from LA for '16 that LSU hadn't offered yet I would be happy but also realize that if LSU goes full steam ahead he will be tough to hold on to. Same thing for skill talent in Texas in regards to A&M right now.
