If I were single and I were to bag an OT 10, I'm not just going to say, I bagged an OT 10, I am going to give the deets.

From 247:

Coach Shannon says that Martrell Spaight has made huge strides this season and has played very well lately, as reported here on Saturday. There's a battle at the other OLB position between Mitchell and Carr, with Ramsey still pushing them. At middle, Brooks took some reps today and should be back at full speed before long. Behind him are Williams and then Hackett. Those young guys will all likely plays

At DL, Tevin Beanum is backing up Trey Flowers and Segrest was happy with his offense. He's been very pleased with Philon this spring, and Hodge is finally adjusting. Bijhon is making freshman mistakes but he's making progress with things like his hand placement. He said Jamichael has taken a lead at the other end spot with the injury there.

Coach Smith said Liddell has show them a lot of things that leads him to think that he'll be able to help them win football games. He said that Spaight has made a lot of progress from a mental standpoint at that position.

There's not a price tag that you can put on experience, Smith said.

It's still basically the same starting secondary that we saw on Saturday. There are five to six people back there that he could see as starters. Collins had a better scrimmage on Saturday, Braylon's a solid contributer, and TQ continues to have a role in the defense.

ALan Turner said it means a lot for The coaches to speak as highly of him as they have lately. He feels like guys know what they need to do and that they aren't yet where they need to be. He's motivated to do better in the secondary and said it's never good to hear people talk about the secondary. Everyone is getting more comfortable in the system as the game goes on. He still thinks about the play against LSU that could have been the difference in game.

Braylon said that all three of the starters played against Auburn last year so they know their tendencies and a little more of what to expect.

He said that the thing about Spaight is that he plays like his hair is on fire. Now that he knows what he's doing, he's still like that.

Taiwan said he's focused on using his quickness to help him impress as a football player. He said that Bijhon has developed great so far.

Mitchell said that Shannon taught him how to be a linebacker. Before that, he was just running around and didn't understand the position. He said the whole crew were praying last year that they wouldn't lose him and were very fortunate to get another year with him.

Spaight said that the first team defense didn't let the offense score on them today. He's got some built up aggression since he's been having to hold back on his tackling intensity against his teammates.

Before you ask, I have no idea if Arkansas' defense will actually be any better this season.

That said, I do know the Hogs aren't trotting out a DE as a MLB - only to watch 'Bama play-action him all day like in 2012.
So, they have that, a healthy renewal of confidence and legitimate SEC linebackers going for them.

LBs coach Randy Shannon said MLB Brooks Ellis was able to work some drills today, but they're taking it slow with his knee

Thomas Murphy @TomMurphyADG
Chaney on Aub: Playing with confidence. They just came off the NC game. They've got a big S on their chests down there … and it's warranted.

Robbie Neiswanger @NWARobbie
RB Jonathan Williams said his hamstring is "feeling good" after going through most of today's practice. He hurt his hamstring on Aug. 9.

Williams said hamstring injuries "can kind of linger. So we just didn’t want that to happen. That’s why I’m slowly getting back into it."
