NY trip is yielding good stuff so far.

Dancer and sis both have some print work. Dancer has an NYC spot ready to start running soon. We are in talks about a national spot.

Photog is getting work from LA clients who love her work. She told me she is going to have to stop taking work soon. I told her to raise her rates. She thought it was suicide but did it. People are paying the new rates. She's happy.

The customer that I called on in Manhattan has received their prototypes on time. Everyone is happy. They are going to ask about $100 for something that is going to cost them about $12. They tossed me a couple of more projects. Sweet!

I should spend more time in Manhattan. They are abrasive, but damn, they do get things done. In CA, it takes about 10 meetings, including at least one off-site meeting, to make a decision. In NYC, so far, the decision is up to one person, and he/she makes it in a hurry.

Sigh. I was friends with Gary Griffin before he died. His sister Kathy dated Ron Jeremy. I am sure that Ron and Evan know each other. It would have been a strange request though.

"Gary, I know people are always bugging you about Kathy this and Kathy that, but could you possibly ask Kathy if she can get Ron to get in touch with Evan Stone and see if he wants to make a personal appearance at a Mississippi State football game? We would really appreciate it. Thanks."

The correct answer is to contact his management company. They would tell you if he is available and what it would take to get him to make an appearance.

Let's review. An autographed picture... probably free. A public appearance... not free.

I would have a much better chance with getting a 40-something actress with a reasonable name to make an appearance. Most of them are desperate for anything. They act like they don't need the work, but no one, and I mean no one, is calling them, and they are freaking out on the inside.

"I have 2 Emmys. Why isn't anyone calling me? If I were a male, I would have more offers than I could count. But no. Be a woman and turn 40 in Hollywood and see what happens! Arrrrrgh. Do you want to be inside of me?"

"Do you want to be inside of me? Don't make me get graphic. I have needs. If you don't care about my needs, you can leave now."
