Carter has done well, by all accounts, but rarely will a freshman be a standout player in fall camp because they don't know enough.

Outside linebacker Lorenzo Carter was also with the first group. Outside linebacker Leonard Floyd was in a non-contact jersey, but Richt said he’ll be fine.

Carter will play whether Floyd is healthy or not.

“Either way, Lorenzo is going to play,” Richt said. “He’s had a really good camp. He’s like a lot of freshman. He’ll do something outstanding and he’ll have a brain lock.”

Look, I hope LC gets some PT...that means he is on the level with those guys...However, I just don't see it. I am normally a optimistic MFer too, but I see him on STs and mop up this year. Again, hope I am wrong and he comes in a whoops some arse...just my prediction. I was being a little facetious when I said he would RS.

L. Carter is going to get some quality minutes early and often this season. Especially given Rocker's plan of active substitutions to keep the line fresh for four quarters.

And this is a very, very good thing.

So JSW injured his ankle on Thursday? Great another setback for him too. He still has that suspension but will it count if he is unable to play? Hope we have him for USCe

How would that teach a lesson? If a kid is hurt and wouldn't play anyway wat punishment is that for him to be held out on a game that he wasn't going to play anyway? It's ok if u don't know just move on and let someone that might know answer

He has been officially suspended for the first game of the season. Hurt or not that is his punishment.
