Welp, this thread went exactly like I thought it would.

People say LSU, LSU fans get upset, LSU says Bama, Bama fans talk about how we never lose in BR, LSU fans bring up records since 2000.

Yep, we've come full circle.

Haven't seen this yet, though, so I'll get it outta the way.

21-0.

LSU says Bama

I was with you until this.

I dont think anyone seriously said Bryant Denny had an inflated home field advantage, but Bama fans do believe that Tiger Stadium is over rated as far as home field advantage goes. This gives them a solicited opportunity to point to Bama's over all ownership of LSU and particularly their ownership of Tiger Stadium.

Vegas believes most schools have an advantage at home. LSU has one as well. Is it often over emphasized? Sure. Though it is difficult to dispute that, at night, particularly Saturday nights, it's a tough venue for MOST opponents.

just an FYI...LSU has only lost 7 home games since Miles got here in 2005...and 11 since 2000.

Actually, I believe they do.

Ah OK. I see what you did there. What is LSU's record in Tuscaloosa?

What I did was I used the online record books. They're pretty easily accessible and from what I gathered, LSU has a winning record in Bryant-Denny Stadium where Bama has been playing their home games since 1929. There wasn't any Hocus Pocus involved.

I'm sure you can find LSU's record in Tuscaloosa if you search the Internet. I don't know what LSU's record was in Baton Rouge before Tiger Stadium was built either. Whatever LSU's record is in Tuscaloosa, I'm sure it's waaaaay better than LSU's record against Bama in Tiger Stadium since there probably weren't that many games played there before 1929 (which reinforces my point that it's a strange series when it comes to the "home field advantage").

@stop Robert GeOrgia did not have six consecutive losing seasons in that time period. The experts at ESPN look at teams' home and away schedules to help determine pre season predictions and rankings. they believe in home field advantage. So do coaches and players. Ask any former high school or college player if HFA exists. You must be a band geek? Ask the NBA or any college or hs basketball coach about home court advantage. MLB awards home field advantage too the league that wins the all star game. The more you post, the more you expose your ignorance regarding athletic competition!

67-11 at home in 13 years is not overrated, I don't care what you say. It's even more impressive when you consider this record was compiled while being in the most dominant conference in college football history for over half of that time.

Again though, keep trolling.

Sounds like they had a shitty LT.

Sounds like someone trying to come up with an excuse

sounds like your mind is made up

But yeah, go tell that college football player he's BS'ing, and that the crowd had no effect on him while you sit your computer

This is so dumb I can't even argue with it.

As far as this "arbitrary" time period of the facts posted above, LSU won 2 BCS and several SEC championships in those years, with about 8 bad years in the 90's.

Bringing up a 25 year period that ends in 2007 when games have been played through 2013 is fricking retarded.

Let's use a time frame that doesn't include LSU's 38-5 home record over the last 6 years to make an argument that homefield advantage doesn't have a large impact on a team's performance. That's intelligent.

Tiger Stadium and it isn't close. Bama has lost there less than 10 times in its history. You can't say Bryant Denny because no one rates BDS.

Retarded reasoning.

These retards really think HFA didn't have an effect on the 2012 game. Don't they remember on here how they said the game wasn't going to be even close, and how our abysmal offense wouldn't do shite? I remember Mett's TD passes against SEC opponents up to that point being brought up regularly leading up to that game.

The point of this thread is that Tiger Stadiums HFA is overrated. Using statistics it is.

As of LSU's last BCS Champioship it came in at a unimpressive 25th.

354-138-18 (.716) says you're full of shite.

It's funny that so many bama fans argue that HF advantage doesn't have a large impact on the game. Bama's win % at home is good and their % at BD is downright ridiculous. It does help that Bear Bryant only lost like 3 or 4 games there in 25 years. I guess the fact that his teams were nearly impossible to beat at BD didn't have much to do with HF advantage.
