Hell yeah

Can I get a sticky on this thread? This will be a thread I visit often.

RA'd for an anchor.

I like the stickies. It was a pain in the arse trying to find the youtube thread when it got unstickied.

UGA suspension and diplomacy threads are about to get unstickied, and since we are about to wrap up the 2015 class if the coaches start pushing the 2016 recruits then there could be more news for that class than the 2015 class.

To criticize the practice of stickying so many threads at a time. It looks like a Kindergarten bulletin board with all the shite pinned up there.

Ah, I can help you with that one. All bulletin boards, no matter the topic, are inherently Kindergarten bulletin boards. It's the very nature of the beast. It's best to just accept it and move on.

Aha! Yet that thread has been stickied since May.

That thread is very nice, I agree, but should be bookmarked and left to float away until it is bumped with a new link to a game.

Check. Your move, Loathor.

But what of those who aren't regulars? Those who don't come here daily to get their fix? Or new posters? I think it would be profoundly more helpful to have this thread stickied than to have those lost lambs wandering around and starting inane threads requesting this prized information which they might not have had a chance to bookmark in the past...

I just requested the roll call thread to be stickied so new posters can check in and find the thread conveniently within a mouse reach. That thread is popular enough and should not require a bookmark (last post was yesterday and within your 3 day requirement).

Yes, this would no doubt happen if that thread was not stickied.

Again, bookmarking is apparently not possible on this board.

Sticky is more convenient.

That might be an idea. Instead of all the handy stickies we can consolidate some of them into one sticky.

1 Recruiting Sticky that links to all the recruiting threads. Could even do it so that it links to past years under each sport, maybe?

1 Diplomacy thread that has a link for both the check-in thread and the youtube thread inside it. We could even link the restaurant/club guide that seems to pop up every now and then when other team's fans stop in.

1 Other thread for links to popular threads (somewhere for every season of "Who wants to get kicked out of Athens?" for instance?). Where we throw any popular threads that seem to make the cut.

Three stickies wouldn't be much clutter and would help direct everyone wherever they want to go while also keeping "important threads" at the top of the page.

That's not a bad idea, but I think the current recruiting threads are fine to be stickied since they will most likely be updated year round (2016 is way too early).

Other than that, a FAQ would clear everything up. The OP would need to be formatted well and list "popular" threads. Such as the youtube thread, Food & Drink thread (for visitors), diplomacy and roll call thread, etc. This way they can be easily found to be bumped when appropriate.

Stickying threads just for the frick of it shouldn't happen.

You're a very confusing person...

You don't like all the stickies at the top, but when I offer up a way to limit it to only three you want at least four?

We should really vote on this in the Diplomacy thread. Good thing we don't have to search for it as it's stickied to the top of the board.

Dude, why don't you stop trying to type in circles for once. I never said there shouldn't be any stickied threads.

There's a reason why there are so many stuck up there and that's why I started this thread to make fun of it. I know yall will keep your RA finger sharp to sticky the future threads and enhance this board's "convenience level."

I RA'd a sticky when I made my OP yesterday so hopefully yours helps make it happen. Thanks for the support.

We could make one locked sticky thread with links for all the other recruiting threads in it. That alone would clean up a lot of it. If the board is so slow moving, it's not like it would drop that far anyways.
