Hootie. How many coaches managed to run two different SEC programs into the ground? That's influence.

ETA: I do want to add, just for the record, that Arkansas fans have a bizarre hate-on for a coach that gave them some considerable success in his time even if he sort of flamed out toward the end. Seriously, y'all, he did your program some real favors.

Dude, I linked you to the official UT Sports website that claims all the titles. Like I said earlier, talk to them. I don't give a shite either way, we can talk semantics of 85 year old championships all day, but it doesn't change the fact that you're changing the subject of the argument.

We are talking about best coaches of all time and Neyland is better than OBC as I've laid out in black and white.

So I should take UT's word over the NCAA and SEC? Hmm...

Edit: And 6 > 5. Sorry that upsets you.

The argument isn't about championships. There are a million threads about that if you wanna bump one.

Neyland won 7 championships in the SEC and the conference that became the SEC.

Spurrier has won 6

7 > 6 sorry that upsets you

Dude you're a damn fool. As I've said before, 2 of Neylands conference titles were won in the southern conference, before the SEC was formed.

"The conference was formed on February 25, 1921 in Atlanta as fourteen member institutions split from the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Association.[1] Southern Conference charter members were Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, Maryland, Mississippi State, North Carolina, North Carolina State, Tennessee, Virginia, Virginia Tech, and Washington & Lee. In 1922, six more universities - Florida, LSU, Mississippi, South Carolina, Tulane, and Vanderbilt joined the conference. Later additions included Sewanee (1923), Virginia Military Institute (1924), and Duke (1929).

The SoCon is particularly notable for having spawned two other major conferences. In 1932, the 13 schools located south and west of the Appalachians (Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, LSU, Mississippi, Mississippi State, University of the South, Tennessee, Tulane, and Vanderbilt) all departed the SoCon to form the Southeastern Conference (SEC). "

Neyland could not control the formation date of the SEC and doesn't matter as all the teams were in the southern.

7. Vince Dooley
8. Nick Saban

Dooley above Saban?

No. I'm not sure Dooley even belongs on this list.
