Athens is easy to get out of (I live here). The key is backstreets and stay off prince and milledge. Cross streets are your friends here. We drive right around stadium before during and after games without a care. Write me when you come for game and I can give pointers.

Thats great if you live locally. If you have to get back to Atlanta, its horrible. Especially 316.

Find somewhere to park around a mile away, and walk. I don't know why anyone would park at the stadium.

Took the trip to Seattle to see LSU/Washington & immediately after the game it started pouring down & with traffic being horrible to begin with, LSU fans were seen driving around the campus area hrs later trying to figure out where to go.

I normally drive in to BR on Friday and its bad into town with the merging on the bridge.

F that bridge. Why should I-10 ever go down to what is essentially 1 lane as one lane becomes exit only into the hood. Though it's not like I-10 is a major East/West artery in the US infrastructure.

Here's a tip for anyone trying to get to Birmingham after a game in Tuscaloosa:

Take US-82 to Centerville, then take SR-25 to Calera, then get on I-65 and go north.

Most likely easier than battling the traffic on I-20/59.

I grew up in Tuscaloosa and it used to be a breeze to get around on game days, but then they hired a company to manage the traffic flows and a lot of the side streets around campus are inaccessible now.

Rose Bowl was really bad. Took us about 2 hours at least to get back to downtown LA in 2011 and we left a good 90 minutes after the game ended.

It absolutely is. That bridge is one of the most highly traversed for 18-wheeler traffic in the country.

Overall Tennessee isn't terrible, but after the games, the fort (where most students live, lots of one ways and weird intersections) is hell if you get caught up in it

I live 200 yards from the stadium so I never have a problem with parking

I was stuck in Athens for about an hour and a half in 2009. Worst was Clemson. Literally did not move for two hours. Actually got out and started throwing the football to ease boredom.

Athens is a piece of cake because I know the backroads.

Hooterville, as you mention, is terrible. Only two ways out, unless one wants to go through Pendleton.

We ain't the best unless someone really knows Columbia. I usually go through USC and hit Bull Street to I-277.

I hate both bridges. That basin bridge and the one coming into Baton Rouge. I got stuck in traffic for a total of 3 hours on both of those bridges. And I had to fricking piss

Athens is notoriously awful. Auburn's has improved, but it's still terrible

I haven't had to leave right after a game but I imagine auburn to be pretty bad, no? most everyone just bottlenecks on to college to get to 85

AU sucks if you take College or Wire. If you can get to Shug or Opelika Highway, its smooth sailing.

LSU gameday traffic is the freaking worst. It took me 2 hours to get from brightside to fraternity row last time I drove to a game.

After game I always just walked to the bar (usually Bogies) then yellow cab home. Now there is Uber so gameday I can be and hopefully get home in a timely manner.

I usually drive in and park somewhere close to tigerland.

Then hoof it all day and night until the traffic is over.

It's not at A&M. That probably changes with adding 20,000 seats to the stadium.

Lots of people park around town and ride a free A&M bus to the stadium. Helps with traffic a lot.

Yea right.

Traffic after A&M games sucks, has always sucked, and will probably remain terrible b/c of the shitty way they redirect traffic off to BFE.

Its pretty arse-tastic before games too.

Alleva "says" he has a new traffic flow plan for LSU games this fall that will ease backups.

We'll see........
