Have you ever been to Auburn? Serious question.

Based on the percentage of current and former Auburn students that have lived in a trailer while completing their undergraduate studies, Im willing to bet that it is more likely you have lived in a trailer at some point.

That is, of course, given the assumption that you actually went to college.
Stayed in Ridgewood for three years and sold the trailer for a cool 4k profit. Not a bad cushion starting out.

Now live in a four bedroom three bath on 24 acres in Mobile. How about you?

No, but I haven't been to the Middle East either.

Kinda depend on word of mouth and news for both.

Well then I'd check your sources. Yes, there are trailer parks to the west of campus that students live in. It tends to be a better fiscal decision for those who live off campus, as demonstrated by ChexMix. I can assure you, however, that you are far overestimating the proportion of Auburn's student body who lives in trailers. The vast majority live either on campus or in apartments & homes in Auburn.

One Auburn guy comes in with some solid logic, the trailer homes are somewhat of an investment with a nice return, and then you come in all defensive as if you're better than owning a trailer home like many of your bretheren.

The only thing I'm doing is saying that you are misinformed. I personally avoid commenting about campuses and cities I haven't lived in or visited because I don't take pleasure in being ignorant. But to each his own.

Chances are his parents were paying his way. When you are fitting the bill, trailers can be a nice investment for the short term. Especially when the price ranges in Auburn can yield significant profits.

I knew a guy who would go around and buy three to four trailers, fix them up and resell them for thousands every semester. Then the parks started to put limits on the trailers selling price and on their age. Bastards.

I considered living in a trailer but opted for an apartment one block from campus because I didn't want to fight for parking or have to deal with the transit.

And my parents didn't foot the bill, FWIW.

So, to judge a place, any place, you must have been there first hand or it's not valid in your opinion?

I hope you realize how ignorant this makes you sound, and thus how pleasurable this moment must be for yourself.

If feel ya. My first year i shared a house with a couple buddies, but decided the privacy and reduction in cost was worth it. Plus i skipped a bunch so parking was never an issue

I really liked Auburn's campus when I visited. It has a different feel than many other SEC campuses, which I appreciated.

So from what im hearing from everyone every SEC campus is bad arse lol and it sounds like I need to go check out Bama and LSU campuses when I get a chance. I always kind imagined Bama having a bad arse campus. LSU I wasn't to sure of. I have been through Louisiana and some parts were kinda rough Im not going to lie. Yalls stadium at night from an above pic is bad arse BTW.

I dont know about everyone else but Aug. 30th can not get here fast enough.

Vanderbilt's campus was named one of the country's most beautiful. So aesthetically speaking, they are right there.

Yea such is the life over here but I think it goes for most states honestly. You're going to have rough patches and then some very nice, scenic areas. Baton Rouge isn't one of those nicest places to see along the interstate, but the campus at LSU is really nice to put it conservatively.

Night time is a different kind of animal, especially during a game with high stakes. The atmosphere really pushes it to another level.

Do you realize how ignorant you sound? Yes, in order to judge anything, you must experience it. Otherwise your judgment is an unsupported.

you boys need to walk around more. the heart of A&M's campus is nice. you just can't access it on a drive by. Problem is no one ever decided on a architectural theme

that's why I said you guys have a few parts of campus that are really nice, but it's still not enough to avoid the mother Russia look and feel. still too many other eye sores on the campus
