There is more building going-on right now on the SCAR campus than on any other campus in the SEC or ACC.

You might be right, but I had a thread about the work being done at LSU last year. There were 63 projects on campus when I posted it...

LSU: "63 projects under construction" as of January '14

New projects visible around campus

Campus construction will yield a variety of new facilities for housing and research, said Roger Husser, University Facility Services director of planning, design and construction. “Currently, there are 63 projects under construction,” Husser said.

So most Auburn student's don't live in the surrounding trailer parks anymore?

So besides never having been to auburn, you don't know anything about auburn student housing?

You just compared your campus' most iconic building to our women's basketball gym (and it really is a nice gym).

That's kind of his point

This is what was posted.

Auburn's Library vs Bama's Library
Auburn's President's Mansion vs Bama's President's Mansion
Auburn Academic Building vs Bama Academic Building

Auburn's Main Iconic Building vs Bama's Basketball Gym

**Hint** One of the aforementioned comparisons is not like the others...

When you make stupid comments, you get the same in response. It's pretty obvious you lack any knowledge of the subject.

I have no dog in this hunt since I really have no need to downgrade anyone else's campus, as I'm extremely proud of my school's campus.

That said, you act like he just pulled that assertion out of his arse for no reason.

This is the first link you get when you search bing for "auburn student housing"...

Ridgewood Village Mobile Home Park

quote:

Ridgewood Village Mobile Home Park has been providing quality housing for young professionals and college students in Auburn for over 30 years.

It's literally the link at the top of the search results. That's probably why people continue to have that idea. So why don't you counter with pics and links of actual Auburn student housing?

Just a suggestion...

Bama, LSU, UGA and Ole Miss have the nicest campuses in the SEC.

That's my top 4 also. Special nod to LSU for being different than the typical southern look

Why even bother refuting this obvious fact?

Embrace it and try to move on.

I agree that was over the top. But I showed why the misconception about your campus exists. The school needs to do a better job IMO getting the facts out there. And Auburn does not have as many options for on-campus housing as some schools do. I count five housing options listed in Auburn housing.

You would know better than I what total number and what percentage of students live on-campus as opposed to off.

I wish all threads on this board could be like the expansion projects thread...

How are the expansion projects coming?

That Auburn uses mobile homes for student housing more than any other college in America.

This really shouldn't bother you this much, unless maybe there is something you'd like to get off your chest...?
