LSU did that opening Thurs game at Miss State several years ago. I know LSU does not have any interest in Thurs night games at home, you would have to cancel school for the day and probably the Fri as well. Most work areas around LSU would probably have to shut down and traffic would be an absolute nightmare around Baton Rouge if they did that, a lot of fans would have trouble getting to the game and if they did contraflow it would mess up commuter's drive. The logistics prevent LSU from doing it at home. They did play Tenn on a Mon night but that was because of Hurricane Rita. The Thanksgiving Friday game has been a staple for awhile now but most businesses are closed that day and school is already out.

It might not be bad on the road, but I think it is pretty much impossible to host unless it is during a holiday.

Am I wrong? And the point was the attitude some people have towards playing on Thursday.

Thanks for being the a-hole to demonstrate it perfectly

Idk if you're wrong. I don't feel like looking it up.

But home Thursday games are fine by me. Traveling on Thursday sucks. And I wasn't being an a-hole, you were in the OP.

A thursday night game in Athens would work just like it does in any other city annually.

The ppl that were going to go to the game would not work that day so it would not affect traffic that much for the Atl ppl getting to Athens. It would be treated like any night game. Ppl would be leaving Atl at noon when there is no traffic on 85.

If you have to ask the question, you are not yet among the Big 6.

Why WOULD anyone in the SEC want to play a Thursday nite game? Unless there was an open date the wkend before, the coaches would hate it. Attendance would be way down. What exactly is the benefit? We do not need any more exposure.

AU has 12 days to prep for KSU and 9 days to prep for La Tech.

I wish we would stop. In grad school now and can't make the Thursday night home games. Plus with tailgating and everything.. college football games, especially in the SEC, are meant for Saturday.
