I really don't understand this line of thinking. We lost to Alabama because they kicked our arse, not because the black jerseys made us lose focus.

Were we not focused on winning vs. AU and Hawaii?

You can focus in black jerseys just the same as red ones.

The jerseys had nothing to do with the loss. Getting their asses handed to them on the LOS had everything to do with it. Fan unity and the players having a fun alternate that is one of the school colors are all fun little outcomes of blackouts. LSU and UK this year all looked great with the blackout and redout. Nothing wrong with giving the players black jerseys if Richt and company don't make it anything more than an alternate. Just make it a regular or at least a regimented ordeal.

When people blame the black jerseys they are just blaming a set of uniforms for the staff's failure IYAM. I understand not wanting to remember the 2008 blackout but I still can't see how the jerseys did anything to make that happen.

I don't know what the obsession/superstition is around the black jerseys. They don't automatically mean you win or lose. They do look awesome and help get the fans into a game. I would love to see them while I'm still a student.

I love the blackout games. However I think we should pick a key rival (UF,AU or GT) and where them against that team annually.

Whatever we do with the black jerseys I just hope the retarded narrative of "UGA SUX IN TEH BL@CK UNIFURMS!!!!!!!!111oneoneoneunounouno!!!!!" goes away.

We've worn them three times against ranked teams each time. Two were blowout victories for us, one was an 11 point loss to a team that went 12-0 during the regular season.

If people like them we should wear them, if the players don't like them I'm fine with not wearing them. I just can't stand the mouth breather contingent that views a loss to an undefeated Bama squad as some reason we should be ashamed of a good looking uniform that isn't tacky like a lot of shite that gets trotted out. Granted, this view is mostly confined to places like the secrant so I shouldn't read too much into it.

I'd love to see them vs. Auburn this November. 3:30 kickoff, sun setting during halftime, dark second half with a chill moving in. It'd be great.

IMO the best way to avoid that is to announce before the season or a while in advance that you're gonna wear black. Several schools announce blackouts/whiteouts/etc in advance and that way it's more about a spirit, atmosphere thing and less about being a motivator. UGA always waits till the week of to do these red-outs and blackouts but I think they'd be well served just doing it now.
