1. Major polls is in the eye of the beholder, but the AP and UPI are generally accepted as the standard for that time. No way I can convince you of that if you don't believe it, but fortunately most people aren't this obstinate.

2. My argument is not that 1964 Arkansas and 1966 Alabama have the same number of selections. My point is that you can make the case for both teams, but both teams have to live with the fact that they weren't selected by the polls most of us accept as the standard.
