However, that doesn't change the fact it's a pretty rook move to believe what a kid claims on a recruiting site and what is actually true.

Not really. We're not talking about some random 3* where you would have a good point. Kids that are top 250 and go to events such as the Opening and the major all-star games don't really have inaccurate profiles. That's bad for business.

Well it's not the recruiting sites fault if a kid claims an offer. They can only report what they are told. It's not like they can actually verify the information with the coaches.

Hes got a point. Why site information from multiple recruiting sites and direct quotes from the player himself when some random on the internet just knows.

This particular case you guys are probably right. But scroll through a list of recruits that claim an Alabama, LSU, FSU etc... offer and tell me you really believe all of those guys could commit to said schools if they wanted to.

I agree that you are most likely right...However, as stated KJ's first offer was from Auburn.

Ask KJ's Dad if Auburn offered, guarantee they were his first offer.

Again we're not talking about a 3* 10th grader from Boaz, AL who gets an offer from an assistant, but is told he can't commit in public just yet.

I believe Bama, Auburn, LSU etc. offer about 800 kids each class to stay out in front of everybody, but when it comes to crunch time there's only about 50 or so kids that they'd actually take and end up getting 1/2 of their top choices.

Correct, just because it says on 247 that he has an offer from AU doesn't mean he could commit. We give out hundreds of offers every cycle.

We have 2 WR's on board and are only taking 1 more. John Burt was our top target followed by Kirk Merrit and Christian Kirk. Preston Williams is another guy the staff is after. Like I said we didn't offer KJ Hill.

Don't get so offensive. Just because our staff isn't high on him doesn't mean the kid sucks. People evaluate differently for their schemes. Yall may think Kirk Merritt sucks, and he's currently our top WR prospect. Different strokes for different folkes

We've offered 165 proscpects this class including 22 wide receivers.. You think every one of those guys are a take?

Here's a thread I started about Hill on July 8th. He wasn't a take then and he's still not. Sorry that offends you.

So you offered and then rescinded the offer? Or you offered but didn't 'offer offer'- some type of aub word twist??? Or are you saying he never got an offer from auburn at all and he is lying as is 247 etc?

He doesn't have a committable offer. Like I said we offered 165 proscpects this class including 22 wr's. That doesn't mean all of them are committable. We aren't the only school to do this.

Arkansas has offered 176 prospects this class. Including 22 RBs and 19 WRs.

Why don't you ask your defensive-lineman Darius Philon how this process works since it seems like Arkansas fans are having a hard time grasping this concept.

This is what was originally claimed which is incorrect.

Someone once said you cant trust recruiting sites or recruits for offer information. So unless you have a direct line to Gus, you don't know any of that. You think you do.

You do not.

Trying to draw facts from assumptions and speculation is ignorant. I do not expect you to understand this.

ETA: For the record, I don't care if he got an offer or not.

If I did have a direct line to Gus he would say that KJ doesn't have a commitable offer because AU has 1 spot left at wr and 4 or 5 WR's we like better than KJ at the moment.

That's all i've been sayin this whole thread. Sorry that offends you.
