That Derrick Henry gif....

He is frightening once he hits that second level

I still can't get over the burst of speed of he shows off in this reception.

He just screams Richardson/Julio mix to me. Julio from the waist down and trent from the waist up. He honestly reminds me as far as film and style goes of Marcus Dupree. That guy could have been better than Herschel Walker. But thats why they call him the best that never was.

If our OL can open holes, I don't see how any team stops Henry. He's just too big/fast. If he gets to the second level it could be over.

Any of our top three RB's would start for any team in the league. That's just not even fair.

By league, you mean SEC right?

In which case: Todd Gurley and Mike Davis.

Todd Gurley, yes.

I would take all three over Davis.

I'd take Yeldon and Henry over Gurley and Davis, but unless Drake improves ball security, Gurley and Davis over him all day.

I'd take Yeldon over Davis for sure. Unless Drake stops fumbling and screwing up off the field, I'd prefer Davis.

I think Henry is more talented than Davis, but I still need to see more from him before I put him over a proven back like Davis. Wanna see him work in pass pro, wanna see his hands, and I wanna see if his vision is legit or if he just had good moments.

Davis is solid with power and too end speed but he doesn't have the moves. Gurley has it all but had nagging injuries. None of our 3 backs have had nagging injuries. I'd take yeldon and henry over both but not drake because of fumble problems and attitude.

He has had one injury ,correct? Gurley is the best back in the league right now.

He doesn't have nagging injuries, gtfo with that.

Yeldon I can understand. But Henry has 36 career touches, with most coming in garbage time. To say he's better than Todd Gurley and/or Mike Davis (especially Gurley) is just...

I see what you are saying, and that is a logical opinion, but I'd still take Henry over Davis.

I think I would too, at the end of this upcoming season.

I just advise everyone to pull back a bit on Henry. I'm sure he'll be a beast, but maybe when he starts getting around 15-20 touches a game we'll see flaws in his game such as vision or actual moves. I had questions about his vision and moves, but he showed me a lot of good tape in his 36 touches. But those 36 touches could have been a flash in the pan. If he has a season with, say, 200 touches, he may not look the same.

I certainly hope he does, and I don't doubt that he has more upside than Davis, but still.

oh really?

here's what Gurley himself had to say about his imjuries back in the spring.

quote:

“It’s going to take a little time,” Gurley said. “I’ve been down there in the training room just getting healthy. Ron (Courson) and his staff have been doing a good job of helping me get my treatment and try to get back healthy. …

UGA's Gurley still dealing with injuries from March of this year

Gurley has had nagging injuries since he opened up sec play as a freshman. Gurley is the most talented back as far as combo of everything but he doesn't have the moves in the hole yeldon does. And henry is a bigger version of him and faster and stronger lol, just waiting on his carries.

Gurley, like Henry, is surprisingly fast for his size. Not sure which one is faster. Gurley does a great job of using his size and strength to run with power and break tackles. Henry has made strides in that department, but like ABDIW said, we're going to have to wait and see him get more carries before we can say for sure how good he is
