I am curious to hear what people think of "brother" package deals.
We did it and it turned out GRE........ahhhhhhh, we're TBD on the Beckham boys.

This under the radar diamond is listed on the roster for Ole Miss. He had 10 catches as a senior but looks to be a very promising receiver.

Ole Miss did not break any NCAA rules in offering Weber a scholarship: schools are free to offer those to any player it deems worthy of one, and Weber is free to take it as long as he is academically eligible. And if offering Tunsil's younger brother was part of the recruiting pitch to Tunsil before he signed in February 2013, it was probably worth it: Tunsil started 11 games as a true freshman, gave up one sack and profiles as one of the best left tackles in college football in 2014.
This is very disheartening to read. I can't believe we're already on the 3rd page and NOT 1 Ole Miss poster has replied, "Ogletree."
No, not the Ogletree you think of when you're talking about UGA (that's Alec Ogletree, he's in the NFL now), it's his brother, Zander Ogletree, who was given a scholarship to accompany his brother to UGA.
Alec Ogletree, 4*, #3 Safety, #40 Overall
Zander Ogletree...meh, not so much.
Alec Ogletree was great, he went Pro a year early. His brother Zander...left the team about a month after his brother declared he was going Pro, That package deal had ended apparently.

We also offered a no star/2 star(depending on site) undersized safety/LB in Denzel Nkemdiche and he turned into a All SEC player.
It doesn't always end badly for that other guy.

Zandar was a ranked player.
We also took Nathan Theus with John Theus.

UGA offered a scholarship to a 2 star long snapper for a reason back in 2011.

Personally, I have no problem if the kid is actually on scholarship. The cootieship is an established and honored practice among SEC recruiting circles.
However, can I get a raise of hands from those who actually believe that, if he is just a preferred walk-on, his family are the ones paying out of state tuition to Ole Miss?
Wasting a scholarship on cannon fodder is perfectly legitimate and means a team has skin in the game and values the player as worth more than one scholarship.
