Per 247, Sweat has set his OVs. VT, FSU, Georgia, Oregon, Ohio St.

Looks like Vols and Ags are out, or at least have substantial ground to make up.

I want to do it too!!

Daniel McCullers

Couldn't care less. None of these guys are even close to "elite", most aren't even "very good"

Single most overrated player in the SEC today, but he at least has the accolades to show off, so I'll give you him. Though I personally think you could take our #3 ILB Johnny O'Neal, sub him in for A.J., and it'd be an upgrade.

Brian Randolph

Good potential, but serious injury concerns. Not elite, but solid get, though UGA never pursued him at all.

quote:

Darick Rogers

Headcase, lazy, entitled. Was never remotely worth the hassle he brought, both top WRs on UTs current roster are head and shoulders above Rogers.

quote:

Cortez McDowell

Good get, we didn't pursue, but I think that was just poor eval by the old staff.

Riyahd jones
Cameron sutton

Legit sleepers. Elite? Nah, but very good with the right coach.

quote:

Preston Williams
Juwuan James

Could have, should have had both. Great gets, truly elite, we simply lost out here.

Cam Sutton is the best corner Tennessee has had since Jason Allen imo.

Dobbs is a question mark, Mccullers is the biggest player in the NFL (on the steelers, who are known for big fat guys like that kicking A@@ ie Casey Hampton), Evan and Elliot berry have an incredible pedigree, you probably couldn't care less beause you had no shot landing them anyway, Croom is a tight end body with the speed and athleticism of a WR (he will impose his will on some 5'10" DBs this season) picou and Butcher are in high school, you have no idea how theyre gonna play out (neither do I).

Be that as it may, you dont have 324 career tackles with a season left to play unless youre damn good. Overrated, maybe, but still elite.

Alright

Headcase, lazy, entitled. Was never remotely worth the hassle he brought, both top WRs on UTs current roster are head and shoulders above Rogers.

Headcase yes, but dont act like yall didnt want him. It was a battle, and we won. Had 67 receptions, 1060 yds, and 9TDs as a sophomore. And our current WRs are incredible, but Darick could play right there with them. He's an incredible talent, just not exaclty the smartest.

the old staff that's still mostly there?

Cameron Sutton was All-Freshman SEC and is a ballhawk. Rihayd has a legit chance of starting this year. Theyre better than 90% of your DBs.

Looks like it. I think we'd have to come close to winning the east to even get back in the conversation now, but it's whatevs. He's a great player, I just hope he ends up at Oregon or FSU.

If they Berry twins didn't have big brother Eric or weren't legacies you guys probably wouldn't have recruited both of them. One of them was borderline and the other one was a below average recruit. Neither of them are elite.

Yeah no one wanted the berry twins. It's not like they both got offers from:

Alabama
Arkansas
Auburn
Florida
Georgia
Louisville
LSU
Miami
South Carolina
Or Wisconsin

Or anything like that.

Spin it whatever way you want. You have not seen either of them play a single down in CFB. They could be hall of famers, or they could bust. But the fact remains, We have Eric berrys twin younger brothers on out team, and you're just gonna have to be okay with that.

They couldn't have committed to any of those places, honestly. No one but UT was actively recruiting them.

They're both 3* guys. Evan could be a good player. Elliot doesn't really have a position at this point.

I obviously realize these kids are not as talented as their older brother. But their gene pool and potential for improvement is enormous, and they have the attitude and demeanor of their older brother.

If the 2 of them can combined do 1/2 of what Eric did, we got a good deal with them.

Spin what? You called them elite and no one but a Vol fan would say they are.

Edit: The Berry twins.

I think this is a misunderstanding. I never called them elite, I just gave a list of all the players currently on Tennessees roster.

What does this have to do with Josh Sweat? Keep it on topic please? Start a Berry thread?

Thanks.
