Quadarius Mireles is still at Ole Miss - redshirted last year.

You should check again and get up to date.

2013 - Laremy Tunsil, R. Nkemdiche, LaQoun Treadwell, Tony Conner, Evan Ingram. That's five studs right there a lot of schools would have traded their whole class for. 2013 is a fricking baller class.

A couple of stars does not a class make. Time will tell about that class overall. It certainly had high-end talent at the top.

Yeah you mad we took the fastest player in the state. Also the RB you thought you would be getting in Gibson. Top 10 player in the state is a leftover? Aight.

Not to mention the 11th best player in the state in Smitherman.

Brassel played for Nutt Nutt's last year at Ole Miss. Dropped a pass against BYU that would have sealed the game.

Dude was straight up a Nutt recruit. Graduated 2010 I think from high school.

Freeze let him back on the team after a year of him going to school at JUCO, but not playing. He never made the grades to requalify.

Brassell played one year at Ole Miss, Under Nutts.

I mean, if Alabama REALLY wanted the kid they would get him. It's a great pickup, no doubt and I wish we had him. But neither Alabama school must have been on him really hard.

Here's the deal, Mullen kicking our arse straight up woke up our fan base and administration from a very long nap.

Freeze coming in and making noise recruiting and winning some games got Mullen and State alumni rethinking recruiting.

Both coaches making both schools better. It can happen hopefully.

Looking forward to an Egg Bowl where both teams have good records. In the past, one time is always hanging on for dear life or having an abysmal season. We will see but this year has potential to be a pretty meaningful Egg Bowl.

The rivalry is back to what it was like when we had Tubs and they had Sherrill. Maybe more intense.

What part of that do you think I don't know?

Brassell REsigned in the 2013 recruiting class. His 4* ranking counts in that class as well, in spite of never making it...

Brassell didn't count. You don't count a player twice in rankings.

It really doesn't matter. The 2013 class was the tits and I guarantee you a player who played a whole season at Ole Miss wasn't recounted 2 years after he signed and one year after he played a whole season of ball at Ole Miss.

Nobdy was talking about Brassell that signing day, because nobody was counting him in the class.

The dude just basically re-enrolled after sitting out a Spring/Fall semester for firing a 0.0 GPA.

Are you really going to keep arguing this? Yes he did. And yes you do. You counted Powe like 4 times in rankings.

Explain this to me.

Clearly all I did was remove Brassell from the class. If "he didn't count twice", why did the point total change?

He is not on Scout's commit list for 2013.

You are acting like that class was way overrated due to Brassell being counted twice. The dude was fricking gone before the Summer, before Treadwell and Tunsil and those guys reported.

2013 was a fricking baller class bottom line, with or without Brassell, who played for Nutt a whole season. Take Brassel out and that class still Top 10, something State could never pull off.

I think we did in the early 2000s. Not that it mattered

MSU has done a good job this year, but our situation is the opposite of theirs right now.

Ole Miss needs to be selective - probably will only sign 22 (including sign and place guys) or so... will make a push for national guys next winter.

If you use Scout as your primary basis for rankings -- you don't follow recruiting.

I'm not acting like anything. Quit projecting bullshite. I simply pointed out a bunch of facts that you've tarded up and made into a much bigger deal than it was.

If you are trying to take a fair representation of how good the class is, you don't just remove Brassell. You remove everyone that is now gone and never made major contributions. You are already at 257pts(good for #12) while still counting Hooks and Kailo, who neither have contributed yet, and I suspect Kailo never will.

4 or 5 elite players does not a truly elite recruiting class make.

You will never know that for sure as long as you root for MSU. Those 4-5 truly elite players did a lot last year as FR. They will continue to do a lot more. Hooks had a couple decent games, LSU being one, and Kailo was buried in a pretty good group of RBs. His move to DB will be a good one for him, but he may never really do much with his track aspirations.
