What, that half of the active threads on the front page involve USC/Mizzou/USC's QB Situation?

Get off your high horse CNB, no one really gives a shite about USCjr, I've just been bored out of my mind and Thompson couldn't be an easier target to poke the cocks with.

Well this is blatantly a lie. There are several Mizz posters here that care very much for USC.

I respect their baseball accomplishments and their improvements in football. I care too. I don't think I'm alone. Get better stats.

Mizzou fans enjoy bantering with USC fans on here, I honestly think the average Mizzou fans care level isn't any higher for USC then it is for any other SEC school.

On the other hand, USCjr fans are clearly upset they finished 2nd in the East last year.

They just hate all SC QB's. Shaw completed 20 consecutive passes the year before and then orchestrated the 4th Q comeback.

Let me know when you start seeing the pattern of guys slowly increasing catches(cept 2011, Franklin Ran the ball an arse ton).

I think my favorite is the increase in production by DX.

Sasser and Hunt both have 50+ receptions this year, without question.

That's all impressive and all - I mean, we all know that Missouri was formerly in the pass-happy, no-defense Big12. No need to prove what needs no proving.

My post was in direct response to a Mizzou poster who said USC's WRs will be young and inexperienced in 2014, when the truth is they will be deeper and return more production than the unit has in many years. In other words, my response was to totally blow up his post, which it did so nicely.

What your post in response to mine is supposed to address, I couldn't begin to decipher. All I see from it is that once upon a time Mizzou had a bunch of 90+ and 100+ catch receivers, but nowadays struggle to have 40+ and 50+ catch receivers. Is this that pattern you were referring to? And that Missouri lost their top 3 leading receivers from last season. I guess that's good reason for Mizzou fans to get excited, as you say....

Nope. I have a ton of respect for Shaw. He was a great player and leader. Thompson is nowhere near him in either regard.

The max number of receptions are fairly meaningless in the grand scheme of things, Mizzou runs the ball far more now then they did back in 2007.

The point is, every year Mizzou has guys catch 50+ passes, the year or two before that the same guy caught 20-30 passes. The pattern there is Sasser and Hunt are on the exact same player development curve that guys like Alexander, Moe, Lucas, and Washington were on. The numbers are so consistent it's quite staggering actually. Mizzou develops its players in it's system and then plugs them in when there's an opening.

The whole idea that Mizzou returns no experience or depth is hilarious. Sasser and Hunt are both on the exact same pace to catch 50-60 passes for 700-1000 yards that Lucas/Washington were on.

Don't you guys know we have a system.

LOL, all I'm trying to get through to you is, all your posts directed to me regarding your returning WR talent is pointless, because I wasn't ever questioning your returning WR talent to begin with. My 1st post in this thread was in response to a Mizzou poster questioning USC's returning WR talent. I corrected him, without even giving the slightest mention or implication about Mizzou's WR issue....

I mean, geez...

Actually, I believe Franklin's numbers in the SEC last year were good enough for top 10 in Mizzou history and that's with missing 4 games. Put his and Mauk's numbers together and it's probably top 5. So yeah, I'd expect it to continue next year too.

What a bunch of dildo hack jack wagons that make up the SC posting fan base.

I feel dumber having read this thread.

And roadie, just so we're back in the swing of football season, Gfy.
