Look, 3 5th year Seniors are the definition of inexperienced and a "bare" cupboard

You mean like when he came in for one drive against Okie State and ran for 73 yards?

How about Florida, who even with a shitty year had the 15th best defense in the country? I believe he threw for almost 300 yards in that game. Also coming in against UGA on the road and pulling out a W was pretty awesome too.

Best part, all this happened, LAST YEAR.

Referring to SC:
quote:

The guy has very little mobility with a very young and inexperienced WR corps
Referring to Mizzou:

You're running your troll in circles now I see.

Nah just pointing out how the argument that Dylan Thompson being a 5th year Senior really doesn't mean shite to me, just like how our 3 5th year WR's don't mean shite to anyone.

WAY more than any of them will admit.

Shaw was a baller and the heart and soul of that team. Very glad he's gone.

But being a 5th year senior should mean something to us in regards to your WRs?

And besides, that wasn't your original point. How can you call our WR corp young and inexperienced when they have more experience and productivity than Mizzou's WR corp? Can't have it both way.

add Clowney, in the last 2 years they've lost the best DLineman, RB and QB they've had, but I'm sure they'll be just as good without them,, right..

So 3 5th year Seniors have less experience then a RS Senior, Senior, and a Junior?

I would b t our guys have a lot more starts and meaningful PT than your guys. You know, real experience.

Jimmie Hunt and Bud Sasser played pretty extensively last year.

Man, you should've seen what we lost after the 2011 season. And then again after the 2012 season. Can't believe we even made it to a bowl game these past few years.

Name Mauk's decent games against opponents not named Kentucky and Tennessee, then.

Against Florida: 295 passing yards, 8.2 yards per attempt, 2 TDs, and 1 INT. (Second most passing yards given up by Florida all season. The most was Jameis Winston's 327 yards.) Mizzou scored 36 points. That was also the second most points Florida gave up all season. The most they gave up was 37 to FSU.

Against USC: 249 passing yards, 10 yards per attempt, 1 TD, and 1 INT. Not a great performance, but still "decent." Thompson had less yards on more attempts and 0 TDs plus an interception in this game. That's a bad performance.

Where he passed for 23yds & no TD's? Bud Sasser was the better QB after JF went down...

Not hard to beat us on number of starts. We have one guy who had 10 starts. We are returning 4 guys who played in all 14 games, though after that, the PT was scarce if at all.

He went 3 for 3 and had several runs that got first downs. The simple fact a RS Freshmen had to come in and not make mistake while holding on to a slim 4th quarter lead was a victory in itself.

We were up two points when Franklin got hurt. Mauk came in on a 3rd and 6 and ran for the first down, and then Sasser threw the TD pass a few plays late. Mauk has been nails since his first snap against Georgia.

Compare what y'all have coming back to this:

Returning WR depth for 2014:

Damiere Byrd: 33 rec., 575 yds, 4 tds
Shaq Roland: 25 rec., 455 yds, 5 tds
Nick Jones: 27 rec., 281 yds, 5 tds
Pharoh Cooper: 3 rec., 54 yds, 1 td

Can't wait to laugh at how you call this ^^^ "young & inexperienced" but Mizzou is good to go.

I just want to take a second to apologize to TigerCruise. I am truly, very sorry. I didn't realize. If I had I wouldn't have made fun of you.

quote:

Thompson is a great garbage time QB, I'll give you that, those nail biters against awesome teams like Coast Carolina were sure vindictive of Thompson's real stats. Which in 2 starts last year, he failed to throw a TD. But lets go back 2 years to find the real Dylan Thompson, the one who had Ellington to throw to, and not 3 guys who have never caught more than 35 passes in a season. Hell your second leading WR last year was your RB.

Had I known how retarded you were, as evidenced by whatever this was supposed to be, I would have used smaller words and more smileys. I hope you don't hold it against me.

now you're being willfully stupid, by the time he came in we were trying to run the clock out, (and we did).

He made a nice run and nice throw to move the ball a nice stretch before Sassers flea flicker pretty much iced it, the defensive pass rush did it's thing next to get the ball back and when they did, we were just killing clock at that point, as I recall.
