With the same injuries, about the same. Hogs don't lose their QB they beat Rutgers. Florida didn't start sucking until after the Hogs game.

Well if Gus was at Arkansas, then it is not a stretch to think that Nick Marshall ends up at arky also.
Right. Gus was already recruiting him at Ark St. NM plus their RBs coached by Gus gets Arkie to 4-0 beating Rutgers. The next 4 are tough but then the final four are all winnable. AU without Gus and NM is no better than OM and Moo St so they probably finish 7-5.

Who are the hot names in the Big 10 vs the SUN Belt ? Who gets hired first by one of the Power Conference Teams? Other then UM, I can not think of one from the Big 10 who would be hired by an SEC Team.

Saban would have lost 7 games last year.

That's what happens when you're relegated to coaching at a Tier 2 program.

Paul Petrino is a sun belt head coach.

The OC that couldn't score with Tyler Wilson, Cobi Hamilton, Knile Davis and company during our 4-8 season got a head coaching job in the sun belt.

Minus Myer and Dantonio, I would put Anderson and Hudspeth over any of the rest.

Gary Andersen (Wisconsin)

Randy Edsall (Maryland)

Tim Beckman (Illinois)

Kirk Ferentz (Iowa)

Mark Dantonio (Michigan State)

Pat Fitzgerald (Northwestern)

Kyle Flood (Rutgers)

Brady Hoke (Michigan)

James Franklin (Penn State)

Urban Meyer (Ohio State)

Darrell Hazell (Purdue)

Bo Pelini (Nebraska)

Jerry Kill (Minnesota)

Kevin Wilson (Indiana)

Freeze and Gus seem to be doing pretty well in the SEC. I think Larry Blakeney would make a good SEC HC. Obviously, he will never get that chance.

so one sun belt coach might do good in the SEC?

my point still stands. hiring a coach from the B1G >>>>> hiring a coach from the sun belt

Malzahn took over a 3-9 team and went 12-2.
Bielema took over a 4-8 team (that previously beat the team Malzahn took over) and went 3-9.

Gus is a flash in the pan type coach, don't know how people can't see that.

He's good for a 2-3 year run then will peter out. That's why he jumps around.

But I'm enjoying his anointment among the cfb greats.

I guess you ignored the Freeze and Gus part. (both of whom have had more success, in the SEC, than your Big 10 Rose Bowl coach)

I mean les miles originated in the B1G as did a certain coach currently at bama

so if we're comparing coaches that came from B1G and sunbelt, looks like I win. Unless you believe the coaches from the sun belt you listed are better than the coaches from the B1G I listed?
