Y'all have finished above us in the standings three times in 10 years. We're pretty much doing a gay job of arguing semantics here. No one besides butt hurt LSU fans is going to give a shite about your LSU win last year unless Hugh takes the next step and gets to .500 or better in conference. Same with Mullen and going over .500 or upsetting someone.

That LSU win was huge... They were ranked in the top 10 at the time... Freeze will have another win over a top 15 ranked team this year as well... OM may just finish with a winning record in SEC play this season... Far cry from the mess Nutt left.

It kind of annoys me that no one ever talks about this... Had Moncrief not declared early we'd have zero players drafted the past 2 NFL drafts.. Zero.

Back in summer 2010 when y'all were getting ribbed for not winning more the previous years, pank and elisha, etc. were quick to point out that Nutt had to teach the talent to win first.

Hugh's Xs and O's are pretty terrible. That's kind of the elephant in the room as far as him, he's a great recruiter and program CEO but his play calling was abortion quality vs. Bama, Mizzou, A&M at the end, and us. The NKemdiche runs screamed high school.
Not that our play calling has much better, if at all. Mullen fired his scape goat so we'll see what happens with x's and o's, though I'm cynical on how much of the play calling Mullen really let get away from him.

I was talking to DMagic the other day about Nutt and Markuson's Oline recruiting... Just ranking the guys up front over the course of those 4 years... Jesus man... Sowell was the 3rd best Olineman Nutt ever signed.. Evan Swindall was top 5.
I think it's more of a personnel issue myself.. That and the fact that our QB hasn't been healthy since September of 2012.

Uh... what? Sorry NIH but no. The only bad games he has had calling plays are '13 Bama, Mizzou and y'all. His play calling was what won us 7 games in 2012 and beat LSU this past year.

You had two NFL caliber WRs and the best Hugh can come up with is shitty bubble screens? This is all the while your blocking is getting blown up on these plays. Horrible goal line calls. Go watch the 2009 LSU-State game and ask us if we're not familiar with that.

Well you can't exactly have your quarterback do a 5 step drop and stand there when your o-line is getting blown up. Getting the ball out quick is the goal when that happens.
