Gattis is fine after a few weeks... Maybe this will become a non issue.

Young at G and Miller at T sounds good. We shouldn't have too much drop off but it doesn't hurt depth. Some were saying Young may go pro after this year anyway, so giving miller another year of experience and getting Kozan back may benefit us in 2015.

We're deep, but I figured Kozan would be at least our 1st or 2nd best O-lineman.

Yea I think he is to, we wouldn't be at our best with him out, but having Miller at RT and Young at G wouldn't be bad. Idk see how some think Diamond would be better he has literally done nothing but be hurt, Miller played just fine last year at RT.

I know nothing about Diamond except for that he was highly recruiting. I've seen what Miller can do and it's nothing to write home about and at times has been downright awful.

Is it possible he's improved tremendously in the last year? Sure, but I would hate to count on it.

Didn't you reference Miller's play on 2012 though? He played pretty damn well last year.

If Kozan is actually hurt (god forbid), if Diamond was to be placed into the lineup, I'd rather see him on Dismukes left than at the end of the line on the right.

Patrick Miller sucked because he was an undersized freshman playing OT in the SEC. He was sub 290 when he played. He has gained a ton of weight and experienced in the system. People don't give him the credit he is due because he didn't excel as an underclass man. I've always said AY and Kozan over Miller but Miller is still very very serviceable and likely the best solution

Miller will be fine he started 4 games last season before being suspended. Why did the coaches start him if he wasn't the best option?

How about tomorrow is the last day of summer workouts so the team will be "free" until August 1st. Cross your fingers for no arrests

Maybe Saban and Bert were on to something about HUNH and injuries. I kid, I kid. This news sucks though. Hope the big guy is okay and ready to be that meatgrinder again for us this year.

If this is true, this is a very common injury among pro athletes, the NFL in particular. It should be manageable. So if he's out for the season, it's something else.

I have a bulging L4/L5 and degenerative disc disease, and I deadlift 355 and rising. And these guys are a lot stronger and younger than me. IF it's a bulging disc, he'll be fine.

Miller started until he had to serve his suspension. During this time we got on a roll and no way was Gus going to mess with it. It was said many times over that Grimes/Gus were just as comfortable with one as the other. Miller has added 10+ lbs, and only gotten stronger. He looked bad in 2012, but so did the rest of them. Frazier took WAY too long to throw many times.
