Bruce Sutter screwed the Braves for years. Uggla has stolen the most money from them (but not sure he was as big a bust as Sutter).

Kawakami is a good one though

The Braves overpaid for him, but Kawakami was decent in 2009, about as good as anyone expected him to be.

No mention of Tommy "I can't stay out of the bars" Hanson?

Hanson progressively declined every season that he was with the Braves. He looked like a future ace when he was first called up.

I know. It really pissed me off. I thought he'd at least be a solid #2 or great #3 pitcher

Without a doubt Chrissy, Butler and 2 other players + cash and then signed him to a monster contract during which he totally failed.

I was so pissed at the trade, close to my ire at the Jones trade which could rapidly develop to even a worse disaster if his foot problem is chronic which it sounds like it is.

on that note, Mark Texiera might count as a bust. only played a season for us, and we gave up Andrus, Harrison, closer dude, and another badass for him.

It was a record setting contract the Braves gave him plus Brett Butler and Brook Jacoby and some other players. Brett Butler was 3rd to Dale Murphy & Bob Horner as a fan favorite at the time.. went on to steal many bases and bat over .300 for many years.. Len Barker turned out to be a bum

After the first year, I was so pissed off I bet my boss (Barker fan)$50 bucks a game every time Barker pitched fr the rest of Barker's Brave's career - he took the Braves and Barker and I took whoever they played.

I cleaned up, he got so pissed he eventually refused to talk about.

Andy Marte is another one. He was one of the top prospects in baseball and was considered the heir-apparent to Chipper at 3rd base. Marte was given a brief call-up in 2005 and was absolutely terrible and the Braves eventually traded him for Edgar Renteria. He spent the remainder of his career bouncing around the Indians farm system.

JD Drew was awesome for a couple of years, but yeah Waino came back to bite us hard. And he's a Brunswick guy at that.
