Out of curiosity, what is the total # of arrests for the Aggies this so far this offseason? 12?

Legitimate Arrests: 5

Golden - 2 (kicked off team)
Claiborne - 2 (kicked off team)
Davis - 1 (TBD)

Retarded or unlawful arrests (as in CSPD gonna CSPD)

Hill - 1 (drunk and sleeping)
Seals-Jones (likely thrown out by the judge)

How is an arrest for public intox not a "legitimate arrest"?

Let's make excuses for players getting so hammered they fall in a planter in the middle of Northgate and pass out. Being that much of a dumbass, he's lucky that the arrest was the only bad thing that happened to him.

As far as Seals-Jones, don't start yelling profanity and try to initiate a fight in front of the police. Problem solved.

I think the issue with Sumlin and his "swag" is that the players love him but the relationship is much more like a brother/friend than a fatherly/authority figure. I think all these legal problems would stop if Sumlin cracks down a bit and gets the players to take him seriously.

CSPD is infamous for questionable arrests (arresting an A&M RB in 2002 because his dog's shots weren't up to date) and judgement (accusing me of having a fraudulent military ID when I'd just returned from Iraq in 2004).

That may be true, but arresting a kid for public intox when he's passed out drunk in a flower bed is a legitimate arrest. That will get you arrested anywhere.
