LSU average: 3.77

Wisky average: 2.86

Lol

ETA:

Thats a pretty massive difference. And LSU's backups have a higher star rating than our starters. Their depth isn't close to ours.

The game will still not be a blowout.

LSU's front 7 will make or break them in this game. Seems pretty obvious to me.

IMO it will be a very boring game. 17-10 type.

LSU has a few 5* and Wisky has a couple of 2* in that mix, but most of those 5* are freshmen who are likely going to see extremely limited if any game time.

that is pretty far off. Thats 87 stars for LSU, then 63 for Wisky, with 2 players not having listed rankings. Thats a team of 4 stars on average vs a team of 3 stars on average. and we all know that not all 4 stars are the same with there being so many of them. I am willing to bet LSU had a hell of a lot more highly rated 4 stars (ESPN top 300, Rivals top 250, 247's top 247, etc)than Wisky did

Wisconsin loses a ton of seniors on defense and their best offensive weapons graduated as well

Melvin Gordon will be the feature back, he rushed for over 1600 yards and 12TD and averaged 7.8 yds/attempt last season.

Other than this, actually not a bad write up

Lsu will run the ball a lot in the first half and then the third quarter you'll see them come out fists flying and throwing the ball a lot over Wisconsin only to go back to slamming the rock again in the 4th quarter. The nation is not ready for the next four years.

I'll tell you this much - if you're basing your premise on that and that alone, then you've got problems.

Fair assessment. The most exciting part of the game will be all the turnovers. LSU has too much inexperience on offense to not turn the ball over. And Stave is gonna Stave at least once or twice.

to those that gave an opinion.

I think it'll be higher scoring than most of you. I don't think either defense will light the world on fire and they both have some big questions on the front 7, LSU has recruited better across the board.

I could see scores end up being any of the following.

Wisconsin 38
LSU 37

LSU 49
Wisconsin 17

or

LSU 41
Wisconsin 38

Good to see some rantards being as civil as they could and not good to not see any of the other SEC fanbases on this board that complain of there being zero legit discussion anymore not participating. I'll give the SECr regulars until Monday before I lose all faith in this cesspool.

I think all you need to do is look at the Capital One Bowl and the Outback Bowl from January to see how this game'll play out.

Wisconsin ran for 293 yards against South Carolina, and some folks down south still think those poor slow Midwestern white boys have no chance against a front that was shaky in 2013 before both of our DT's declared. What worries me is that Ole Miss (176 yds. rushing vs. LSU in '13), Bama (193), UGA (193) and Arkansas (182) showed that successful running against LSU was the key to beating us; and stopping our run was just as key (only 43 yds rushing vs. Bama, 114 vs. Myth, 77 vs. UGA all way under our 203.3 avg).

Teams that rely on the run like Wisconsin seem to be the perfect fit to frustrate an LSU team that likely won't throw many down-field passes until absolutely necessary.
Both QBs threw for under 90 yds in their bowls. So it's not going to be pretty, and it comes down to who can stop the run. What would be great is if LF goes head-to-head with Gordon in the 4th to see who can score last against 2 tired defenses. Our overall talent level should show by the 3rd, but I really can't fathom why people think this game would be a blowout.

You do realize that was only Steele's projected starters, right? The star ratings were added by a poster from elsewhere.

I wouldn't be worried because we are capable of putting our CBs on an island, so we will have to make Wisky's QB throw unless they want to run it into our box, which we will be able to fill with 8 players almost every play

4* players are usually very good D1 players with a chance at making it to the NFL. Most 3* players are average D1 players with very little chance of making it to the league. That's a pretty big difference in athleticism.

After watching Michigan State highlights, I'd say they've done a great job of getting 3* guys that are very athletic. MSU is a very athletic team and they've recruited in the 40's save last year.
