LSU will likely win big.

WI's QB sucks if you get pressure on him and they have a really bad WR core returning. Stuff their run and you will beat them.

I don't think their defense will be able to stop us from running and playing the game the way LSU plays.

And it's Magee and Fournette, not Fournette and Hilliard.

Yep, a win is a win.

LSU will run wild on that inexperienced UW D., and UW won't see a D as good as LSUs the rest of the year. Bookmark it if you want.

I see a 35-21 game where it looks much worse than the score indicates. LSU will establish a running game that UW will not be able to stop. And yes they will not face a better defense until they play MSU in the BIG title game

Outside of Melvin Gordon, does Wisc have anybody who would be getting reps much less starting at LSU?

Honestly, if Wisconsin wins this game, recruiting rankings should be placed in the same category as astrology and reading tea leaves.

An inexperienced big ten front 7 going against the best o-line in the SEC. Magee, Hilliard, and Fournette are going to have a lot of fun.

This should already be the case.

i don't follow Wisconsin football

think LSU plays conservative ground game

if LSU defense shows up - and offense is decent, game might be over mid 3rd quarter

They're gonna pound the rock and try to expose our tackles. If they're successful it could get hairy.

I don't know much about their D, and our O has a lot of unknowns. More than likely we will ride McGee and Hilliard. Les won't try to stretch the field unless he has too.

I think it will be a close, low scoring 20-14 type game.

Even if we don't win, I at least want the D to put up a fight. I will feel a lot better about the rest of the season if we can contain Gordon.

Their backup RB and that is pretty much it.

LSU oline will control the point of attack. LSU establishes the run early. Jennings/Harris whoever starts will be 8/15 for 175 yards and LSU spends the second half in ball control mode. Whisky gets a late garbage TD.

If Wisconsin's D can bottle up LSU's run game
how likely do you think this is in reality? teams with a much better defense don't "bottle up" the lsu ground game. even when they stack the box.

the Bielema system
system? he's not urban meyer or malzahn.

expect this game to be just like the bowl game. run, run, run. low scoring and closer than the game really is. maybe a few designed qb draws. lsu takes no chances in this game. the world thinks miles still sucks. lsu wins once again with inexperienced players and miles gets no credit. the also rans of the sec, ole miss, ark, state, think lsu is in decline despite lsu winning.

what about it? it has no bearing on lsu vs wisky this season.

an uninspired lsu team took care of business in route to yet another 10 win season. so what.

It'll be close the first half due to first game non-sense: false starts, illegal formations/substitutions, delay of game penalties that everyone goes through.

Second half, LSU imposes it's will.

Melvin Gordon could be the best RB in teh country. Will be the first one drafted barring injury. He's a freak of nature.

That being said, they have an abysmal QB situation. The returning starter is one of the worst in D1 and they lost their only good WR.

They have a very solid OL as always and will run, run, run, run. Their true frosh backup QB might come in a run some read option to mix it up as well.

They lost their entire front 7 on defense, but they subbed a lot last year and have experience there. However, there is NO depth.

Their DBs are good, but not great.

My prediction:

They won't pass the ball AT ALL on us against our DB tandem and with their terrible passing game and WRs. They will run it well because Gordon is nasty and their OL is punishing. They get 180 yards rushing on the game against our young DTs, but they run it 80% of the time so YPC isn't enormous. We run it a lot and run it well just as they do, but we mix up some deep passes from Harris that get us some quick scores. Their inability to score quickly loses it for them.
