I think Albany has always been its worst enemy. I hear all the time about how people in the same profession in that town can't even get along. I grew up in Valdosta, and can certainly see its good and bad points as well.

I already said he is going to commit to UGA. At this point I was just messing around. I have never down voted a soul on any board. I assumed you would know I got it from you guys. I am enjoying the timber talk though. My father has a few tracts.

Albany is a shite hole. In 1988 it was the murder capital of the world per capita. I lived there for a year bc of work. I hated it. Albany was the only big town around my home town. So if we ever went any were it was to this shite hole. I wouldn't be mad if I never had to go there again.

It wasn't the murder capital of the world...it was considered the highest murder per capita for the United states that year...albany couldn't hold a candle to some 3rd world areas...see Africa for example but yes....it has few redeeming qualities..and seems to be continually heading in the wrong direction....i have a lot of family from there so it was probably more enjoyable for me at the time.....curious...you from sly-town?
