What do you mean you disagree? Denzel started over bird in 12 (freshman Denzel, sophomore Bird). They play the same position not next to one another.

No. Elston is the worst tackler on the team. He's a big hitter, yes, but ahorrible openfield tackler.

I think you're underestimating Serderious, but it's definitely arguable that Denzel is just as good.

This is taken from Wiki... before you say "oh no that's wiki not our scheme", it gives you a general idea of what the nose tackle does.

The nose tackle is generally slightly larger and stronger and plays a shade or head-up technique which means he lines up on either outside shoulder of the center or in the middle of his body depending on which way the strength of the play is going. The nose tackle's primary job is to stop the run and take on the double team (which is getting blocked by both the center and the weak-side or pulling guard) thus freeing up the linebackers to make a play.

Literally everything you've said has been wrong, schoolboy.

I made the first statement that I wish Speaks would step up because Gross is overrated. Your boy, Whistlin, was the one who turned all of this "combative".

So, Gross is heavily undersized, played as a true freshman undersized, was a freshman All-American DT although being undersized, and is "overrated." Got it.

He's overrated on this board. Yes, like I said, he makes some great plays. A TFL or a sack, one or two times a game, but I believe we need a Mount Cody or somebody like Speaks to step up to be a consistent run stopper.

Can someone post the GIF of Issac Gross from the Texas game last year?

Gross was hurt last year, so overrated is a bit harsh.

Still, I don't think we can hold up against the likes of LSU, Bama, Arky, and Barn etc this whole season unless we get more run-stoppers. A front four of Gross, RN, and CJ is suspect against a power team, IMO.

I'm not saying we need Terrence Cody, but I kinda wish we had a huge plugger for the early downs.

^^^^
This guy knows what he's talking about.

Gross is good at what he does, but he needs to be used in certain situations, not every down.

Yes, that is one of the plays that he'll give you a couple of times a game. Y'all talk about him like he does it consistently throughout the game. He doesn't.

Because I'm proving Whistlin wrong? I said something, a lot of the board disagrees and says I don't know what I'm talking about and call me a moron, I prove wrong, I equal engie.

Seems legit, pal.

Back on subject.

David had a blurb today that said the freshman pass catchers (Epps, Pack, and Harris) have looked great with Harris looking possibly the best.

What are y'alls expectations for them?
