I have a perspective that isn't unlike many of you guys', but I'd like to share it anyways.

I've been a die-hard Arkansas fan since about 2006 (when I was in the 7th grade). The first Razorback football game I ever went to was the '06 LSU game. Since then, I had been lucky enough to go to probably around 10 games (some in Fayetteville, some in LR) because my uncles would usually have an extra ticket. This included the 2010 LSU game, which was one of the best atmospheres I have ever experienced.

I got accepted to the UofA and it was finally my turn to go and be in the student section during all of this amazing football success. My freshman year was the John L year. The entire ULM game just seemed off. I had been to about 15 Razorback games at this point. And it just seemed off. The god forsaken wave kept going around as ULM continued to creep back into it. The student section and a good majority of the fans had left when the game was "over" when we were up 28-7. The atmosphere never felt right. And then of course we lost and we know how that goes.

I forgot to add that I am from Bryant, so going to the LR games now that I am in college is absolutely no problem. It's actually a good opportunity to go get a home cooked meal and enjoy my own bed.

Well, my friends and I stuck with it and still went to every home game like we said we would. We came back to LR for the Ole Miss game. And it was the same thing. It just isn't right. I always enjoyed LR games before I was a student. I think it was because I enjoyed Arkansas games in general. But ever since I have become a student (or maybe since the most recent downfall, which have inconveniently enough been at the exact same time), LR games just have this odd atmosphere.

That's the only way I know how to describe it. Sure, the tailgating is fun, and getting buzzed before the game is always a plus. But the LR games are just weird. (Here comes the hard part, so buckle up.)

To me, it's like the Little Rock fans are there for the Little Rock fans. They only get 2 (now 1) game each season, so they have to get their "waves" in and leave the game early to go enjoy the "awesome tailgating" and a host of other things. So much so that it's like wait, why are we even here again? To cheer on the TEAM. Fayetteville games? Of course they aren't perfect. It's kinda hard to be perfect when you have seasons like the last 2 that we have had. But the crowd is much more engaged, and seems less focused on themselves.

When I heard word that we were only going to have 1 game in LR next season, I was ecstatic. As easy as it is to go LR games for me, it's just not worth it. I would much rather enjoy home games in the home stadium of the Razorbacks in an atmosphere that is just much better in general.

My thoughts have been a bit all over the place, but I can leave you with this much. As a student here at the UofA, it is the overwhelming majority opinion of the students, that we would prefer to keep the games in Fayetteville. Now, as far as why aren't more students coming to the games in general? Well, I have a whole different opinion on that, but that is for another time on another day.

Come to the Georgia game.
Get a ticket somewhere besides the student section.
You'll have a blast.
It won't be like Western Illinois etc.

Funny, the ones in our area seem to be there to support the Hogs!

Doing the wave during a crucial defensive series instead of cheering and being loud suggest otherwise.

Face it, LR games are the white trash version of the Grove, its all about getting drunk outside the stadium.

Truth be known, most LR folks have more interest in better things than blowing money on the University's football program.

I see. You're right, there were two statements there. Things could change by then but as of now I don't see us winning that one.

Oh ye of little faith.

I'm telling you, we're going to pull that one out.
Even though we *might* beat Auburn (kinda doubtful) or aTm (highly more possible), the Georgia game is going to be the signature win that officially kicks off the winning Brett Bielema era at Arkansas.

first off i HATE games in LR. But thats not true the Central AR MSA is almost 2 times the size of NWA's MSA. But is also one of the fastest growing in the country.

Finally had a chance to watch Richt's Media Days interview.......

ONe of the last questions he got was to find out how he felt about playing Arkansas in Little Rock this year..... About how being a 14 year head coach in the SEC, there aren't all that many firsts left to check off the list schedule-wise anymore, but that this will be the first time he's ever played Arkansas in Little Rock.

His Answer: He said it was tragic that the Little Rock Chamber of Commerce had their boots on the throat of Arkansas students and fans...........just kidding. He basically, just said he doesn't know anything about the LR stadium or how it will be different, but that he's always excited for an opportunity to put another notch in his belt.

Mark Richt's UGA Career Record vs. Arkansas

2-0 in Fayetteville
2-1 in Athens
1-0 in Atlanta

and soon to be....

?? - ?? in Little Rock

If Richt can't beat the Hogs in LR following our last two seasons, with his recruiting advantage and experience...

He should very much be on the hot seat.

This is exactly the type of game that Richt likes to lose. It's got all the signs....

I've got Georgia winning this one. But, in triple over-time.

Arkansas players ability to train daily in a higher altitude (1,400') will give them the advantage over the Dawgs that train at a measly 780'.
