Its not, but depending on how you go to the stadium, you go through some of the worst parts of town.
How do you get to the stadium? Maybe you should try a more direct route.

I prefer the full Little Rock experience on gameday at WMS.
I start by rolling down Col Glenn, windows down, base pumping.
I then try to locate the hot dog guy or the taco truck where I stop to get a bite to eat. So after getting my meal from a truck to be eaten in a truck, I roll on down to Asher and stop at the car wash to hang with the locals.
From there its to the corner spot to pick up a 5th of cheap whiskey and a couple deuce deuces to sip on while I roll on over the the golf course.
I set up my tail gate area by unloading the couch from the back of the truck, a couch I fully intend on leaving behind.
I then take my spot on the couch and start on the 5th, the opponent is the deciding factor on when I stop working on that 5th and enter the stadium, if it isn't a big name top ranked opponent, I normally miss most of the first quarter.
I then stumble into the stadium and purchase a nice warm coke and cold pizza and make my way to my spot on the bleachers.
After the game, a win over a top ranked opponent leads to a victory couch lighting and a trip back down Asher to Col Glenn to Norms where the rest of the night is spent.

It sounds to me that the only thing you lack is a tour guide.

This is a great thread, I learned a lot.
To me LR was always the great Arky mystery.

What about the students? I mean, they're obviously getting screwed out of some home-game experiences with this LIttle Rock deal..
In Athens, it doesn't get any better than a home-game weekend in the fall. You go out downtown on Friday night, then sleep a couple hours in your own bed at your own dorm/apt/house.........get up...........enjoy the insanity of game day...............and then crash in your own bed again that night.
Seems to me that Arkansas students are getting the shaft here.
Have there been riots in the streets protesting this atrocity? There would be if I were a student there......

They are finally down to one game per year there. That's probably as good as it gets for them.

Can't speak as to now of course but when I was a student and we actually played a few games in Little Rock each season it was a fun deal to leave campus, get a room and hit different clubs and parties than were in Fayetteville. Maybe not so much for the students who lived in Little Rock but of course a lot of us came from other places. I never heard anyone complaining and even though it was a short road trip it was still a road trip and something people looked forward to doing. You know, good times were to be had. We still got to spend a lot of time on and around campus and made the most of it when we did.
Now as an older man with a family I don't have strong preferences either way. Little Rock is closer but I like going back to campus and visiting people living in the NWA area who I don't get to see that often so I'm really fine with the games being played in either place.

I'm new to this board and don't know you. But, based on this post and the one earlier where you called someone a "browny face"............... I'm going to assume that you are retarded.

We don't use that word around here.
We use special needs.

Someone needs to crunch the numbers and figure out how many Arkansas students get DUIs driving back to Fayetteville from Little Rock every season for these games.....
Oh wait....... Nevermind. The LR Chamber of Commerce probably loves that extra revenue.....
What a scam these fiends have going. I have to hand it to them.

Awww the little babby doesn't know things. You're just a newborn trying to figure things out. I like you, I'm going to comb your hair and take you to town with me to show you off.

Wasn't an issue at all with the annual 'day after Thanksgiving' game in Little Rock. Hardly any students are on campus that weekend in Fayetteville. Just a guess, since it's unprovable - but there may have been more students attending in LR than there would had it been in Fayetteville.
Students aren't the primary concern for the PTB anyway, they make up a small percentage of the attendance at best, and at a discounted price.
It's about the Benjamins, bottom line.
