I think a lot of you guys are saying this cause you THINK Jeremy Johnson is better.

You would be mistaken in my case then.

I don't think Jeremy Johnson is half the QB that NM is.

And I'm not positive as of yet that he will be better than Sean White.

Because, God in heaven, JJ shouldn't be proud of AU leading the SEC in Academic Honor Roll just because NM was a fricking dumbass.

The last time that I checked weed is illegal in Georgia and in our own state. One might not agree with that but until the law changes there will be consequences if anyone engages in it and gets caught. Put that aside even, he has a responsibility to his team, his university and even to himself if he wants to be a leader on this team to abstain from this type of behavior. This is a distraction that could harm the overall goals of that team. His actions were selfish IMO. But I guess I'm old school and still believe in personal accountability.

So is speeding, running red lights, jaywalking and living on a boat for 30+ days while inside the state borders of Georgia. If you didn't go to jail I do not see weed being an offense to be suspended over more than numerous other things

This is a reason to suspend him for sure.

I like Marshall and I hope he starts against Arkansas, but what a selfish move.

So "less than 1 oz" can mean residue up to 1 oz. most idiots on the SECR will read this and think 1 oz.

What exactly was the residue on? This sounds like an a-hole cop getting snarky. Did they find a blunt in the ashtray? Nick needs a good lawyer to crush some gonads on this.

So was it 8 or was it 9 grams? Typically reports have to have the specific weight. Did they cop roll a joint on the way back to the police station using roughly 1 gram in doing so? Would explain the estimated weight.

If he refused the search, they would have called a K9 Unit and busted him anyway.

He probably knew that.

Officers will sometimes cut you some slack if you don't make it more difficult for them.

Tough call for Malzahn. Nick stepped into AU with a couple of strikes against him. I know all the kids on here think weed is no big deal and this was only a citation. They are right, but weed is STILL MF'ing ILLEGAL & THEY CAN'T SMOKE AND PLAY!!!!! How hard is that???? That's not the only thing to consider.

Marshall is the team leader, the face of the program. He's not a recruit or a RS freshman. I'm glad I don't have to make the call, but I'd sit him at least 2 games.
