My point is that the thread topic is irrelevant. I DGAF if an lsu DB wins the Thorpe for the next 100 years if they continue to fall short of the only trophy that matters.

Vernon Hargreaves is so good that it doesn't matter who he lines up with, they're automatically the best CB tandem in the league.
Pretty much this. If I could steal any player in the SEC and put him on Bama's roster it would be him.

Gimme a break. He's a former pro-bowler who is shopping his options right now. He'll be signing with someone in the next couple of weeks.
Dude... Sheldon Brown wasnt on an NFL roster last year. He last played for the Browns in 2012. He isnt shopping his options right now, because he has no options. Hes done. And he was a 2nd alternate on the Pro Bowl team.. and there is a big difference in being an All Pro player or playing in the Pro Bowl due to the amount of players turn it down. Still was a solid CB though.
And in regards to who has the best CB tandem....
Vernon Hargreaves is hands down the best CB in the SEC next year. Period. 3rd Team All American as a true freshman. Hes probably the best CB in the entire nation this year as well. Kids unreal. Its scary how easy he went from high school ball to SEC ball. He was so polished early on it was amazing. So smooth in his backpedal and flipping his hips. He was born to play the CB spot. Hes got 1st round, #1CB taken in the draft written all over him. Great head on his shoulders and work ethic as well.
But when it comes to the top CB tandems in the SEC for 2014, its LSU. Tre White and RR are both some of the top CBs in the SEC for 2014. Both have big time experience as well and will be even better than they were last year.
If Tabor can come in and play well, by the end of the season its possible UF could have the best duo in the SEC considering they have the top CB in college football in Hargreaves. But not a lot of true freshman can come in and be a legit SEC CB from day 1 and be consistent at that level for the entire season so Im not confident he will do that.
And even though Hargreaves is the top CB in the SEC and most likely in the country, Tre White and RR are both highly regarded as well and are some of the best in the country. And both will be vastly improved this season.

You are a sad little man. It means SO much to you.
I don't see how being a high draft pick sucks. And you can't win a national title every year. I'm sure bama fans have just realized this

I think LSU will have the 2 best corners. I don't think they have the best secondary.
I think Florida will have the best single corner, and a really strong secondary.
Ole miss looks like they might have the best overall secondary. We'll see.

J. Landry
7 rec
121 yards
1 td
Not exactly shut down
Nah...
4 reps for 58 yards for Landry and 2 reps for 47 yards for Beckham....that's shut down

Looking at WR stats, yeah that says they didnt do much. But you also gotta take into account that LSU was 9-17 passing that game. Didnt throw the ball at all. Thats like 4.25 pass attempts per quarter. Didnt really need to pass either due to the fact that UF had a 3rd team QB playing that game and were already very limited offensively. They werent worried about UF scoring. LSU wanted to control the clock, tire out UF's D, and play that old school ground and pound style of play. And wasnt Jarvis questionable heading into that game and not near 100%?

And we have White and Robinson for another year after this one...with Tolliver coming in for 2015.
Just sick.
