Random-arse alligator hanging out in a swamp =/= "mascot", unless you go and fetch the same one out every game day and parade him around in front of the crowd.

this. having a designated swamp wildlife reserve on campus that happens to contain gators doesn't really count. Like you said, unless they're removing the same gator every game and showing him to the fans, it's not really a mascot, but rather an animal that happens to live on campus.

also, not sure what the OP considers to be a domesticated dog's "natural habitat," which would be the mascot for UT, A&M, State, and UGA. or what about a gamecock? wouldn't a chicken coup be the natural habitat for a chicken?

Is UF the only SEC school with mascots living in the wild on campus full time?

Still lives on campus full time....

So to answer your question, no. Florida is not the only school.

And not in a tiny cage, but in a large 10k sq ft Habitat.

Wow never would have expected an alligator to live near UF's campus. One of the most exotic animals in north america.

Are there any trailer parks ON CAMPUS in Tuscaloosa?

I mean, there are plenty of Gumps living on campus, but unless there is a by gawd trailer Park on campus, then it's not fair to say that they are living "in their natural habitat"

same goes to the chicken coop comment.
Lake Alice and others around campus have had gators since my folks era in the late 60s/early 70s. I reckon they were there long time before then, and hopefully they'll continue to allow it. It is nothing out or the norm for the area, and that is what makes it so unique. With that said I'm sure you can easily find a rattler in Tallahassee at FAMU's campus... so there's that lol.

Best "cage" ever
