yes I guess, but your point is he should have been allowed to take his car even though they were still working the crime scene for evidence?

They could have simply detained him until the scene was cleared if they really thought he was going to affect it. Arresting him is going overboard. "Obstructing government operations" is a he said/he said crime anyway. Just like a "resisting arrest" charge. Without video they can't really prove he did anything. If it isn't accompanied by another charge then I think it is a very suspect charge. Looks like they arrested him just to show him they could. I have a huge problem with that attitude being displayed by police officers.

Charged with what exactly? Some trumped up charge like felony mopery?

Actually, all the crimes you just mentioned have elements. Guess what crime Drake met the elements for. Hint: the answer isn't felony mopery.

You are unreal..without video they cant prove anything? How about if two people witnessed him doing the act and one arrested him. Do they still need a video to prove what he did. I think not. If you had to have video evidence to arrest anyone then no one would go to jail. Last time I got a speeding ticket it was one cop and his radar detector and no one else. Guess what, I got the ticket and paid it.

I briefly heard Finebaum mention something about a surveillance video regarding the Drake incident while I was driving home from work. Anybody know anything about that?

The radar is his evidence.

I already mentioned a crime he could have been charged with if he'd affected the scene and that was tampering with evidence. He also could have been charged with obstruction of justice (not the same as obstructing government operations).

Why not this charge?

the crime he was arrested for was a misdemeanor right? Not sure why you are arguing what else he could have been charged with. if this is his first brush with the law it will probably be dropped.

I read some more on the shooting and the shooter also shot at a cop who fired back and wounded the perp. So it was important to preserve the crime scene since a cop was involved and his gun was fired. Either way the fact that Drake has not said a thing on Twitter tells me he is laying low and probably has had this advice from his mentors.

Class A misdemeanor Broker. Highest of the three classes of misdemeanors.

I'm saying if they thought he was a threat to the crime scene they would have charged him with something other than obstructing government operations. I'm not saying he should have been charged with anything. They didn't because those other charges would require evidence other than a "he said/he said" to back them up.

I would be surprised if this isn't dropped but I guess stranger things have happened.

It'll be dropped, IMO. Drake "tried" to go thru the crime scene tape - he didn't suceed therefore the investigation proceeded without interfence from KD.

I think it will be dropped but I think NS will still have to doll out discipline for Drake doing something stupid. Drake still has not posted on Twitter which he did daily before this incident. Kid is lawing low for sure.
