That isn't even close to what happened here.

What you're referring to would be considered tampering with evidence or something like that. What happened to drake is just a trumped up bogus charge.

Actually tampering with evidence and obstruction of government operations are both Class A misdemeanors. The difference is you can charge someone with one before they frick up a crime scene. The other is a charge that you use after they destroy an investigation. Tell me Columbo, which is more productive in the case of a shooting scene?

All the cops or patriotic dick riders in this thread just suck. Wiggle the sticks out your asses. Cops are there for all of our protection, not to wave their badge around and get butt hurt because a 20 year old black kid doesn't wanna listen to officer frick face because he wants his car and he won't tell him why he can't have it. As a citizen it isn't your job to obey the officer as he commands. That's ridiculous. There are more circumstances to this that are all left up for speculation, but until someone posts a report on everything then I'm going with the cop being a little pussy and got his feelings hurt cus someone didn't listen to him.

I love me some Bama and the Bama board, but you sir are a moron. The "cops" were there for the person(s) that were shot at. Not for you or Drake so he could go get some late night Taco Bell or wtf ever. It ain't all about you or any other new age give me what I want now douche canoe. Some things are bigger than your narcissistic ideals. I hope you get that. If you don't, well phuc me running, face the camera and then turn right for your booking photo. I want to do criminal defense work in a few years, but there is not enough money to represent a$$hats as illogical as you. Have a good one.

Oh, not playing nice anymore.

You seem mad. I just love to get under people's skin who I don't like and have stupid intentions with their lives. The way you view this country is exactly what is wrong with it. People like you worry about the little things that would have no reflection upon anything, but are completely blind to where the real problems are in this standard falling country. You can take that horse shite, high and mighty bologna somewhere else because there are a lot bigger problems than Kenyan drake wanting his car. The real problem is where the brain of everything is and that's in our pathetic government and extremely confused authority heads. You do realize anyone can go be a cop right? Were you picked on as a child and you just can't come to terms that and that is why you are such a big dick supporter of the Tuscaloosa police dept?

So, does this mean you are out of thought provoking responses?

Alright. Let's steer this back toward details and consequences of the arrest, and leave the in-depth moral and political pontification to Twitter.

Would have been more productive, and likely more effective, just to detain Drake until the scene was cleared. Instead they hit him with a bogus charge.

Yeah it is a bogus charge. He s should be getting a huge settlement for unlawful imprisonment any minute now.

were u there to know it is bogus? the guy they arrested is being held for attempted murder charges. I think this is pretty serous and Drake was attempting to remove his property from a crime scene. Thank goodness one of those stray bullets did not find someone's head as he would probably be in more serious trouble for his actions. Let's wait and see what NS has to say. The fact that Drake has not posted a thing on Twitter tells me he knows he screwed up. He is laying low. Drake posts a few items on twitter daily and right now no word in a few days.

What he was charged with is not bogus. He attempted to cross into a crime scene if we're to believe the TPD. I know enough about the TPD to cast doubt on their charges, but what he is charged with is far from bogus.

It's bull shite and until it surfaces that he is suspended for multiple games and the charges aren't dropped then it will continue to be bull shite until nick frickin saban says so because he's a facts motherfricker. I'll revisit later when the verdict is final

according to the report he did not attempt to cross, he actually crossed into the crime scene with the intent to take his car. I would suspect that they had plenty of warnings and the last thing a cop wants to do is stop what he is doing and arrest someone.

Junkie, I love how you're ready to extend Drake all kinds of benefit of the doubt when he has demonstrated multiple times that he merits none. Yet, these cops whom you have no idea about or ever met are already jack-booted fascists in your eyes.

Most of the cop bashing I see here on TD/SECr is of the, "Look how edgy I am! I think all cops are assholes!"

You're right. He should be. But he won't.

If he had affected the crime scene he would have been charged with something other than obstructing a government operation.

yes I guess, but your point is he should have been allowed to take his car even though they were still working the crime scene for evidence?
