I'm also hearing Jaylen, Beasley, and a number of other recruits to be in Athens on Aug. 30th. Tiger, can you verify this or have you heard anything like this happening? If so, that would be a perfect time to visit.

The complaining has begun
1) UConn realized we had better options.
2) He wanted to be closer to home.
3) He was worried about competition for playing time.
4) Some or all of the above.

Hell yes! Hope this starts the flood of big commits we've been waiting on. I know he is from Athens, but hey, UCONN is the defending national champs and we took him.

Huge deal. I coached Turtle his 8th and 9th grade seasons at ACS. Terrific kid, really hard worker. I'm really impressed too cause Fox and the staff started recruiting him hard in 8th grade. Had a coach at most of our games his freshmen year and at the time he liked the staff but was not interested in UGA. wanted a bigger, more well known program. Also he has played in Athens but his family is not from here, location was not important to him. So besides helping make it easy to visit him, location wasn't what you would think.
he is a top 100 recruit and would be higher up if he didn't miss so much time last year with an injury. Very excited about this. he is the larger guard body type that Fox loves in his system. Pair him with Mack, Beasley or even Brown and it would be a terrific combo. Always big when you beat out Florida, UCONN and Kansas for a national level recruit. Very excited to see him play again and in the red and black. Go Dawgs!

He also already mentioned other top in state recruits and said he is working on getting others to join him. Could be huge in that sense since he plays AAU with them all.

Hmm... Rivals had him as a top 50 player and a 4 star recruit when he committed to Uconn. Now that he committed to UGA, he drops to a 3 and 107th in the nation; but they're not biased...

holy shite. Rivals are a bunch of hacks. I've never taken their rankings seriously in football. I shouldn't in basketball either.

If he commits to play football at Bama he'll get bumped back to a 4*

Hopefully he can sway some other recruits to join him. Looks like Fox could be something together here!

its gonna be so fun going to watch a good basketball team.

Scout still has him at 4 stars and #47 in the country.
Let's hope this is the moment. The moment we look back on when Fox turned his recruiting and coaching fortunes around at UGA. I am definitely rooting for him big time.
