See, I have no problem with it. Thread has just been kinda dead-ish. Now, if yall can constantly keep it going then I have no problem putting it back. Or, hell, we can have another vote thread.
I also planned on bringing it back for basketball season. I just saw it was getting like only a post or 2 every few days. At very minimum I was gonna keep it off until the Fall Camp Thread went down next week.

That's part of the reason there is a falcons thread. Falcon fans can't go to the MSB without Saints fans shitting all over it. That thread is here so Falcon fans can talk amongst themselves and not litter the board with Falcons threads because, as you said, it's a UGA board. That was the main reason for the Braves thread too.
Anyway, I couldn't give two shits either way. It's just obvious there are gonna be people pissed off. We saw who was pissed before and now we see who's mad now. So maybe it does need a vote.

I just think we stick to 4 or fewer threads stickied...that leaves 16 different threads on page 1....

If you want to do the Hunger Game threads as the 4th, thats fine too, but likely wont need a sticky because it will have traffic to keep it high.
Sticky threads are up there so its easy to find, not because its the most traffic...
ETA: we can take fall camp off, since we are now in Clemson practice schedule....Sticky the Clemson game thread or something...

This clutter at the top of the board is new anyway. We've never had more than 1 or 2, and the board functioned just fine.
But, now....... we have EBT revolts when some groups don't get a sticky. It's pathetic. And embarrassing, imo.

I really don't care what you do DGD, I just don't see why 1 of the 3 major sports at UGA shouldn't have a sticky on the Georgia SPORTS Board...
However, it really wont bother me if it goes away...I just think it makes sense to have it up there is all.

Now, what is the purpose of a post-it note?
Answer: Traditionally, they are used as a temporary reminder.
Examples: "Honey, Please pick up some milk! xoxoxo"....or......."Dentist appointment Tuesday. Don't forget!" etc etc etc. You get the picture.
So, let's all take a deep breath here. And realize that we've lost sight of what "stickies" are fricking for.
They're not meant to give out welfare handouts to shitty threads that would otherwise have sunk to page 20. Theyr'e suppose to be for temporary reminders EVERY NOW AND THEN.
The LEVEL PLAYING FIELD of the board is where the threads belong.

StingTalk has one or two stickies a year: the occasional reminder to posters to stop being counts (these go up for a week and are removed) and the annual donations thread that goes up for the month of July to pay for ST. That's it. Then again, we don't have admins from other teams messing with our space.
Has the idea ever been proposed that someone like ITDawg could design a new DawgRant, get it hosted, and allow posters to contribute yearly to keep the thing up? With as many regulars y'all have, it wouldn't be but about $20/person/year to have a real nice board of your own.
