Lots of hate from one particular team in this thread....those from this particular school that have said positive things I applaud you
Those that continue the short sided way of thinking look foolish. Remember, we were supposed to fall on our face from the word go in this conference. You are correct in saying we hadn't gotten there yet, but if you can't see what's happening you are just a dumbass.
What I mean by short sided:
"You couldn't beat us with your best player"
"0-3"
"We had no problem beating you in the SEC"
"Easy win"
All I can say is Arky talked that shite too...3-0....and the shite has changed now.

We are two years away on defense... Some DL talent needs to mature, and then we will be able to field a legit defense. Still need stud LB and safety.

What happens when your defense can't stop a team that's balanced? Sure you'll be able to score but when you get into a shoot out with a team you won't be able to stop them as much as they stop you. Get a 5 star ILB, safety, and corner and I'll come back and congratulate you.

How about Jefferson, Sheffield, and we lead for two 5* safeties the next class. Also, need some 5* OL to protect the 5* QB. A few years away, but Sumlin is building a monster in CS

Did I say OLB, DT? I said ILB and S. They are the consistent stoppers in a defense. Sure the OLB will help with pass rushing but to have a good defense you need consistency and Sheffield is the only one who provides that. The DT won't matter if he faces another 5 star OL like Alabama gets. Idk why Sheffield would consider going there. He's setting himself up for career suicide

You have to wonder if some people on this thread are even paying attention. We are stacking elite talent on both sides of the ball.
Our defense is going to be sick pretty soon in combination with probably the most offensive talent of anyone in the country.

We are probably goijg to have a 5* line backer, a 5* DT, and a 5* corner this year to go along with 2 5* safeties next cycle. If you really were a recruiting junkie you would know we are about to bring very legitimate talent on the defensive side of the ball
