Might be gamesmanship, but sounds like there's a chance Altidore is back for Belgium.

Saw someone mention a a good point earlier. I'd rather he start and we take him off at half-time if necessary than sub him in and have to possibly sub a sub.

I would imagine he does. Them having to move Dempsey to Striker threw off the game plan from the minute he went out.

We've gotta have better possessions though. I believe I saw we were 31st out of 32 teams on time of possession. Things like consistent clean, crisp passes this WC have been non-existent when it matters. Our 1 touches have been even worse.

Playing in transition and off the break is good to an extent, but when that's all you have and the other team has possession 70% of the game, it's not going to work. We've gotta find a way to hold on to the ball today and make some plays when we do.

I'm really hoping that they just had a different game plan to survive through the "Group of Death" and will bring a different philosophy to the knockout round.

I'm really hoping we see them press Belgium for 90+ minutes or atleast a good portion of the game. This whole sit back and let them pass all over the field while we clog up the middle/in front of the goal isn't going to see us through to the next round.

I get that our back line struggles and if we get beat we're hurting, but you've got to come up with some game plan to generate more pressure.
