It'd be hard for me to pass that up, but you'd think with 3 good years with Jorn and with the rate of inflation for salaries like it is, he very likely could have had a 7 figure offer as a junior.

or he could have torn up his elbow and got zero run support. Get that money son! If he flames out he's got money in the bank to start up a business.

Hentges got 700K + a 160k scholarship plan.

In other news, I hadn't realized that Dillon Howard, who signed for 1.85 million ($545,400 was slot value) as a second rounder out of HS and was a Hog signee, has already retired.

He was busted for PED's in minor league testing so got hit with the 50 games suspension and racked up a near 8 ERA in AZ fall league in his career.

Most guys who sign out of HS never pan out unless they're like super prospects.

Robbie Ray has made the majors after being (12th round pick -got 800k in old bonus system) by the Nationals was traded to Tigers for Doug Fister.

Jared Lakind (23rd round - 400k) struggled so much hitting that they are trying to save his career by putting him on the mound.

2011 class

So who will end up transferring out? We probably only have 3-4 spots with 6-7 players needing the spots.

Mark Clark has been encouraged to go to JUCO to get some innings and at-bats.

Also read we parted ways with Trent Hill.

Expect more not to make it to campus.

We are at like 52 and have to be down to 35 and only 27 get money.

Arkansas Signees in Summer Ball

Luke Bonfield – Martha’s Vineyard Sharks (Futures League)

Bonfield’s average dropped (.559 to .483), but he had an extremely productive week for the Sharks to close out the regular season. In six games, he went 9-for-24 with two triples, three home runs, nine RBI and six runs scored. His hitting streak was snapped after 12 games with an 0-for-3 game Friday.

In the Sharks’ first playoff game, Bonfield struggled at the plate, going 0-for-3 with three strikeouts.

Here is his final regular season stat line: 14 G, 28-for-58 (.483 avg.), 6 2B, 2 3B, 6 HR, 23 RBI, 13 R, 6 BB, 9 K, .523 OBP, .966 SLG

Time to fap, boys.

Yeah, Bonfield is the real deal, we will have a fantastic outfield next year, best in a long time.

More excited about McKinney though, he's going to be a Stanek like shut down top SEC Friday night starter with the quickness. So glad he said he wouldn't sign for any less than 7 figures and fell into our lap despite a 2nd round pick projection. You don't get that lucky often, especially us, we usually lose all of our top commits to the draft.

For comparison's sake, even with how crazy good Bonfield is, he is Baseball America's #32 player that did not sign.

McKinney is #8. He has a NASTY Triple A ready changeup, it is fricking filthy, insane late break. 6'5" 220 frame, reminds me so much of Michael Wacha. Best changeup in 2014 class per MLB.com.
