Maybe he realizes there's no one to throw him the ball at UT.

What's the deal with his fiancée? She definitely getting a track scholarship? Maybe getting one? Is that seriously his biggest concern?

She is definitely going to UT from everything I've read.

Not trying to sound cocky or anything like that but I've always thought PW flipping from UT would be a long shot, even when he was flirting around with other schools back in the spring.

And I saw where he just posted this

Even if he were to flip, don't get me wrong, id be rustled beyond imagination, but if there's 1 position I'm not worried about at UT, it's WR. It would suck balls to lose a complete mutant like Williams tho.

Not sure he's the one to make fun of UGA over. We really just dodged a bullet on that one

1. Rogers was a good college player before he left the team. See Phil's post.

2. My point was never about how Darrick turned out. I was entirely focused on his recruiting battle. Which we won against uga who wanted him just as badly. What happened after that is independent of his recruiting

Are you old enough to remember the recruiting battle because you sure don't seem to know a lot about his recruitment.

And you won the recruiting battle by offering his scrub QB, who UGA wouldn't offer. I'm glad you got them both.

Y'all are acting like UGA didn't want him at all which is just not true. And I am aware we offered that qb, sometimes you sacrifice certain things to land 5*s, especially wen you're Derek Dooley and you suck

No, we're not saying that at all. We're saying we didn't want him as bad as UT did by offering his scrub qb. We couldn't afford to give out a Cootieship at the time.

Yeah, I don't see him flipping at all unless something goes awry with her track scholarship. I just didn't know if the track scholarship was officially offered or was floated out as a serious possibility. That's the only way I see him going anywhere else. Weird kid, but big time talent.

Obviously you have reading comprehension problems. Never said we didn't want him, just not as bad as TN since we didn't throw away 2 schollies to get him.

Cut him^ some slack man that's a valid point. He just sucked, he did a lot of dumb shite. I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that might've been the reason he got fired.

In the end we still landed DR. He gave us some headaches but he also gave us a 1000 yd year and 10 TD's as a Soph.

Rogers was good with the potential to be great. UT always seems to have a group of mid level receivers then one just pop on the scene and dominate like Patterson, Hunter and should've been Rogers. Too bad y'all missed on Quile (can't believe we missed on Quille either)

Lovejoy and Preston Williams will be competing in the Lassiter 7v7 today and tomorrow if any of you UT fans would like to check him out live. Or you can follow these instructions to watch the event on the internets.

Games will be streamed live at www.select7on7.com, by selecting the “NFHS Network Broadcasts” link and then finding the Georgia qualifier. Read more: The Marietta Daily Journal - Talent filled field expected for Lassiter 7 on 7 qualifier

Just two days after five-star wide receiver Preston Williams of Lovejoy High School in Hampton, Ga., participated in Nike's The Opening in Beaverton, Ore., the longtime Tennessee commitment is stealing the show at another talent-filled event.
Two high-school coaches attending the National Select 7-on-7 qualifier Saturday at Lassiter High School in Marietta, Ga., raved about Williams' performance to 247Sports' Rusty Mansell. One of the coaches told Mansell that Williams is "putting on a (expletive) clinic."
Saturday's 7-on-7 event features teams from a number of powerhouse programs, including Valdosta (Ga.) High School, Alpharetta (Ga.) High School, Grayson High School in Loganville, Ga., North Paulding High School in Dallas, Ga., and Hoover (Ala.) High School.
The 6-foot-4, 191-pound Williams is ranked the nation's No. 22 overall prospect and No. 1 wide receiver in the 247Sports Composite for the 2015 class.

At least one well-connected Southeast recruiting guy said on a UGA site today that there is a lot going on behind the scenes w/ Williams and UGA still.

I think it's poppycock, but I'll keep my eye out for the couple breaking their engagement off.

Saw him play several games today. Kid did put on a damn clinic. Great hands, great explosion, several one handed TDs. Made some other kids look silly. It was pretty fun to watch.
