agreed NTVol but if he misses a bowl this year he pretty much digs himself into a make or break type season with a ton of pressure in 2015. If he could somehow win 7 or even 6 this season that pressure is still there it just isn't quite as hostile.

Good point. You know the necks in this fanbase are too dumb to see the big picture.

As long as he makes a bowl though, I think he'll be alright. The fans see how he's recruiting compared to how Dooley was. At least we the fans feel like we're on the upswing with Butch compared to the Doofus years when it felt like we were just spinning our tires in the mud.

I think they'll be 2-2 heading into the UF game. UF is probably going to be 4-1, but the big thing is UF will be coming off of a bye.

So assuming that both teams are near full strength, I like Florida's chances in this game. Especially because of UT's relative youth on the LOS.

That being said, the schedule isn't soooo bad. They have 5 games that should be wins, and they just need to win one SEC game against a better/equal team. My guess is one of UF, OM, and Mizz.

I would not be surprised to see them bowling at 6-6.

MIZZ will be better than you think.

What's helping us more than anything is the turnover in the SEC East. I expect Vandy, UGA, USC, and Mizzou all to take a slight step back.

UT fans relying on Vandy to take a step back makes me happy. Thanks.

I agree. I think Mizzou will be the top team in the east, again. A Good WR corps even without DGB, and Mauk might be the best QB in the entire conference.

I'm not saying the 2014 team wont be worse than 2013. My point is UT fans are relying on the step back for hopes of bowl eligibility.

Well sure. We have a lot of rebuilding to do, and any school, including you, taking a step back is to our advantage.

What we're hoping for is that steps back by other teams allow us to get a bit more positive press than what we usually get, which is "LOL TENNERSEEEEE"

Actually we're hoping we take a step forward. We were a better team last year than we were under Dooley despite the same record. A lot of people forget last year we replaced the every skill position on offense except for our RB -- our entire passing game, QB, WR, TE, were all brand new/inexperienced.

Losing an offense with QB Tyler Bray, Justin Hunter (NFL WR), Cordarelle Patterson (NFL WR), Zach Rogers (WR - NFL got cut at the end might've made it if he hadn't been so outshone by his teammates and landed as a late round pick instead), Mycal Rivera (NFL TE), and having the exact same record with an even more brutal schedule, walk-ons starting, and true freshmen/including walk-on true freshmen every where you look, says a lot about Jones' potential and how fricking awful Dooley was.

I really wanted Dooley to work out. I liked him a lot.

But, good God, he finished us off but good. I think he was a Saban mole.

Never in my life have I seen a more talented offense absolutely wasted by an incompetent HC. I mean for frick's sake we had a goddamm NFL team on O.

We're going to crush you.

You're line and QB play is going to suck again, and ours will be the opposite.
