He's also officially listed at 5'11 and 173 and that is generous. He's always going to be smaller but he needs to bulk up some.

When I was a junior I was 5'4 and I finished at 6'3,. I started my freshman year at 17, and you supposedly can grow until 30 '... I think the crystal ball to Oregon is more a numbers game, you can pick a&m and be the 30th to do so, or be the first Oregon CB and potentially score a lot of points.

Someone at 247 spoke with Travis Waller, another qb recruit and said that interest from Oregon has been cutoff and that they have filled the spot.

that's like exactly what LSU was saying with regards to Kenny young before signing day

I am not counting my chickens before they hatch just saying it's more than a "gut feeling." There is more to this than faith, trust and pixie dust.

If that's true, could it be anyone other than Kyler? Seems bad for A&M.

I would sit back and relax on this one. Mahalak is coming in and with the current backups, he could rise to #2 on the depth chart. I expect a lot from Mahalak, so the depth chart issue might be moot.

We also had two other qbs visits but both gave post trip reports with no intention of giving a verbal. Murray has gone silent.

Murray would be an idiot to go to ATM. If Allen is anywhere decent, Murray will have one year max to play.

What do you mean murray has gone silent? The kid NEVER talks.

Look, Oregon. I appreciate your fans/coaches interest in Texas A&M's legacy QB prospect, you just have to understand that with everything there is on campus at A&M, for Kyler, and the fact that he is JFF 2.0.... Frankly, hold your breath. See you never.

Some are thinking our silent is Locksley. You aTm fans sound insecure. Confident people usually don't spend their time being explaining themselves too much.

Nah.
Kids change their minds about schools all the time; but Kyler is about as natural a legacy as they come.
I'm glad he's enjoying the process--he should.

I don't think Kyler is going to Oregon. However, I wouldn't feel to comfortable with his recruitment. Arrion Springs said he was locked in with Oregon in our last cycle but visited FSU, aTm, Texas, and USC on the side. At no point was I comfortable with him being a "lock." We lost a "legacy" to Okie State because he wanted to study engineering. Kids choose schools for a variety of reasons.

I don't disagree with anything you said.
And I won't be the least bit surprised at any visit he takes.
But there are legacies, and there's Kevin Murray's son.
Trust me.
He's an Ag.

Not sure where you got that. Springs never visited A&M. We didn't recruit him

No, you're right. He visited FSU, Oklahoma, Miami, USC, and Texas the weekend before Feb. 2. A couple of those were on his own dime.
